  • [00:00:01.050]Here in this video, we will see how
  • [00:00:02.890]electrical demand is measured and billed.
  • [00:00:05.740]And so, here we have a figure
  • [00:00:07.470]that shows, perhaps, what an electrical demand profile
  • [00:00:10.820]might look like for a plant over the course of some time.
  • [00:00:14.650]And, so, we see here that the electrical demand
  • [00:00:17.340]increases to some peak value and then goes down.
  • [00:00:21.060]And, so, typically, peak demand
  • [00:00:23.190]will be averaged over fixed intervals.
  • [00:00:26.170]And, so, here we have 15 minute intervals.
  • [00:00:28.890]You'll take averages in these kind of ranges.
  • [00:00:34.600]And what will happen is the company
  • [00:00:36.840]will select the highest peak demand value
  • [00:00:39.460]that's been averaged, and they'll select
  • [00:00:41.000]that for you to be billed over
  • [00:00:42.660]the course of, say, an entire month.
  • [00:00:44.800]And, so, that's how electrical demand is billed.
