- [00:00:36.550]with more people and maybe a little bit more to offer them.

- [00:01:02.400]is we sit the bar too low.

- [00:01:06.340]that I wouldn't even have fathomed.

- [00:01:24.040]These guys came in and did that research,
- [00:01:27.380]laid the groundwork, so we can actually move forward.
- [00:01:29.950]'Cause I don't know when I would ever
- [00:01:31.160]would have had time to do it, honestly.
- [00:01:33.420]We bring it to the forefront
- [00:01:34.450]that there are all these things that you could do,
- [00:01:36.040]and trying to get the people in power
- [00:01:39.410]and the people who have made the influence to take action.
- [00:01:41.940]Tourism in the future, I think that people
- [00:01:44.680]are gonna be expecting more and more
- [00:01:46.770]of those bespoke or specialized experiences,
- [00:01:50.010]they'll really wanna be immersed in a setting.
- [00:01:51.880]So as soon as we hone in on what makes us special
- [00:01:54.970]and encourage people to discover so much more
- [00:01:57.990]about our state and what they're gonna learn
- [00:01:59.590]in their typical history books,
- [00:02:01.330]that's what gives you even more appreciation
- [00:02:03.760]and understanding about what rural America is all about.
- [00:02:07.730]What I would be interested in doing long term
- [00:02:09.510]is figuring out some sort of app that notifies
- [00:02:12.470]people about a particular historical site
- [00:02:14.730]and why it could be adventurous to them
- [00:02:16.370]to explore further.
- [00:02:17.610]Visiting rural communities in particular
- [00:02:19.760]is exploring Nebraska in so many different ways
- [00:02:24.826]on so many different levels.
- [00:02:26.270]People should definitely be interested in visiting
- [00:02:28.390]rural communities because of all the cool little
- [00:02:30.820]great things they have to offer.
- [00:02:32.470]When we came here, we had this other perspective
- [00:02:34.830]of seeing all these new things.
- [00:02:36.450]And this place really is valuable.
- [00:02:38.480]Their impact has been sort of
- [00:02:40.630]giving me the momentum to push forward
- [00:02:42.050]with these things that we've been trying
- [00:02:43.590]to get accomplished for a few years.
- [00:02:45.480]We've definitely came up with some new ideas
- [00:02:47.180]that maybe people that we're working
- [00:02:48.470]for haven't really though of.
- [00:02:50.209]It's helped me recognize how special Red Cloud is
- [00:02:52.180]and that all this stuff we're putting into it is worth it.
- [00:02:56.530]They came up with action steps,
- [00:02:57.840]they executed on the action steps.
- [00:02:59.940]And that's a product of The University,
- [00:03:02.910]it's a product of those two coming from a rural community,
- [00:03:05.590]and it's a product of RFI.
- [00:03:07.080]I'm honestly very excited to come back here
- [00:03:09.180]in five or ten years, see how things have changed.
