- [00:00:25.672]Okay, maybe a lot of romantic activity.
- [00:00:28.688]And what better way to get all of that,
- [00:00:30.659]you may think, than by using alcohol or other substances.
- [00:00:34.685]Well, sure, plenty of students have had a great time
- [00:00:36.771]in college without it, but let's be honest,
- [00:00:39.616]most adults have been using this stuff for centuries,
- [00:00:42.184]to relax, let go, and get comfortable around new people.
- [00:00:45.814]The things we do when we're buzzed,
- [00:00:48.088]we think can be stuff of legends.
- [00:00:49.880]People talk about us for decades.
- [00:00:52.834]Well, sure, there's risk involved.
- [00:00:54.673]That's half the fun, right?
- [00:00:56.633]But here's the thing, risk is only fun
- [00:00:59.031]when we're able to beat it.
- [00:01:00.887]All kinds of problems come when we
- [00:01:02.831]don't manage the risks of drinking alcohol.
- [00:01:05.484]Getting in trouble or getting sick
- [00:01:07.409]or injured, or hurting someone else.
- [00:01:09.758]Drink enough, and your whole body shuts down.

- [00:01:16.031]And some of these things can mess up the rest of your life.
- [00:01:18.961]Jail time, lawsuits, suspension from school, even death.

- [00:01:34.421]because somebody went to far and drank way to much.
- [00:01:38.425]Hey, we wouldn't be telling you about these things
- [00:01:40.667]if they weren't happening to students
- [00:01:42.513]just like you, all over the country.
- [00:01:46.045]So, let's review:
- [00:01:47.630]Drinking, fun and possibly rewarding.
- [00:01:50.995]But, potentially dangerous and destructive.
- [00:01:54.471]The difference, well, the way you manage those risks.
- [00:01:57.808]And help the members of your organization
- [00:01:59.615]manage them as well, keeping everybody in
- [00:02:02.395]your organization safe and problem free.
- [00:02:06.968]See, it doesn't have to be all or nothing.
- [00:02:09.962]By managing the risks of drinking alcohol,
- [00:02:12.495]you can have a great time and get everything you want
- [00:02:14.882]and everything the members of your organization want
