Prem Paul Innovator of the Year – P. Stephen Baenziger

Dr. Baenziger has consistently developed technologies that provide value to farmers, Nebraska, and the university. His innovative and productive breeding program has led to numerous cultivars in wheat that are planted broadly in Nebraska and in other wheat-producing states. His work in barley, triticale and now with hybrid technologies for small grains has kept his program on the leading edge. NUtech Ventures awards him for the breadth, depth and longevity of this innovative contributions.
