- [00:00:08.741](speaking foreign language) (students yelp)
- [00:00:12.120]It's a really good experience.
- [00:00:13.140]It's something you don't always get to do.
- [00:00:15.251]I actually visited China once,
- [00:00:16.820]and I actually hope to go it again,
- [00:00:18.835]knowing Chinese and actually communicate
- [00:00:20.560]with the people there.
- [00:00:21.936]Both the high school and middle school

- [00:00:30.377]I think it's a great opportunity for students
- [00:00:32.067]at Scottsbluff High School to tap into
- [00:00:35.985]the fastest-growing second language in the United States.

- [00:00:41.548]at public schools across the state.

- [00:00:56.385]and from Beatrice.
- [00:00:58.149]Teachers go through
- [00:00:58.982]a rigorous training program,
- [00:01:00.652]both in China and in the United States.
- [00:01:03.441]They also take part in training required by local schools.
- [00:01:07.378]They are all qualified,
- [00:01:09.149]and they're very all devoted.
- [00:01:11.243]They work heart and soul here
- [00:01:14.863]to promote Chinese language teaching,
- [00:01:17.391]and to promote the mutual understanding
- [00:01:20.357]between the two peoples of the two countries.
- [00:01:23.058]I used lots of games,
- [00:01:24.759]and I incorporate some technology into my class.

- [00:01:42.551]to come to join them and try some dumplings.
- [00:01:45.477]And then they all learned how to say dumpling,
- [00:01:47.062]like (speaking foreign language) in Chinese.
- [00:01:49.361](speaking foreign language)
- [00:01:50.279]Teachers broaden the horizons for students.
- [00:01:53.188]The Chinese knowledge can help kids
- [00:01:55.168]to know more about the other country
- [00:01:57.276]on the other side of the Earth.
- [00:01:59.969](speaking foreign language)
- [00:02:01.498]Chinese language classes
- [00:02:02.817]also open doors to the future.
- [00:02:05.662]The economy nowadays is so, like, globalized,
- [00:02:09.371]there's a great possibility for them to find a job
- [00:02:11.459]if they have some Chinese language skills.
- [00:02:14.384]If they're getting into marketing,
- [00:02:16.708]international business, those types of things,
- [00:02:20.440]I think it's a great opportunity for them to
- [00:02:23.042]expand that and take it onto wherever they go.
- [00:02:25.548]I'm gonna definitely advance on it.
