Through the Confucius Institute, hundreds of Nebraskans are learning how to speak Chinese. The institute helps support Chinese language classes in public schools, at universities and community locations across the state.

[00:01:03.441]They also take part in training required by local schools.

[00:01:09.149]and they're very all devoted.

[00:01:14.863]to promote Chinese language teaching,
[00:01:17.391]and to promote the mutual understanding
[00:01:20.357]between the two peoples of the two countries.

[00:01:24.759]and I incorporate some technology into my class.

[00:01:32.092]A spring festival involved more than 120 students,
[00:01:35.981]making and tasting Chinese dumplings.

[00:01:40.177]they invited their friends from other classes
[00:01:42.551]to come to join them and try some dumplings.
[00:01:45.477]And then they all learned how to say dumpling,
