Interior design students in the College of Architecture contributed designs for a retail Huskers Shop in the newly-built College of Business building.

[00:00:08.098]and asked us to help him with a retail space
[00:00:11.368]that's going into the new College of Business building.
[00:00:14.485]This is the Huskers Shop in the College of Business.

[00:00:25.651]we've done is we've partnered up
[00:00:26.835]with the College of Architecture and the students
[00:00:28.640]in the Interior Design school.
[00:00:30.445]We had 16 students involved in making different designs
[00:00:33.474]for the store and Fanatics used some of those elements
[00:00:36.320]from the design in the store we've come up with.
[00:00:41.550]So we took a look at the existing building
[00:00:44.256]and what the user wanted,
[00:00:45.896]kind of determined all of our restraints.
[00:00:48.979]Just wonderful to be able to actually design something
[00:00:52.238]for our own students to use and actually be able
[00:00:55.139]to go experience in the building.
[00:00:58.733]We wanted it to be campus-wide.
[00:01:01.053]We didn't want it just to be focused
[00:01:02.549]on the Business college.
[00:01:03.651]It was really great to collaborate with somebody outside
[00:01:05.995]of the college who brought a different point of view.
[00:01:09.456]We have Business students going over
[00:01:10.858]to the Architecture group and listening to them,
[00:01:13.900]asking questions, and vice versa,
[00:01:16.177]so it's a great partnership.
