With the help of RFI Student Interns Amber and Madeline, West Point took an inventory of its parks and recreation opportunities and developed a needs assessment to identify strategies that will create a more robust lifestyle for those who live in Cuming County.

[00:00:20.701]and then also how they want to use the parks.
[00:00:25.912]Their first survey brought in almost 100 results
[00:00:29.203]and their second one was over 200,
[00:00:31.661]so the community is already engaging with them.
[00:00:35.912]So, we have the top three results
[00:00:38.672]in each category that the public wants.
[00:00:43.984]The park board is already on top of the water plants
[00:00:46.424]that we kind of received as a response from that assessment.
[00:00:53.515]They've created the foundation
[00:00:54.851]for so many great things already.

[00:01:04.069]Just the way that everybody talks about West Point,
[00:01:07.181]they are so proud of it and they love it.
[00:01:09.440]That's just amazing to see within a community
[00:01:11.491]and I definitely think that is something
[00:01:14.429]that other world communities could model themselves after.
