[00:00:46.032]We're at the American Civil Liberties Union
[00:00:47.715]of Nebraska,we're a legal advocacy organization.
[00:00:51.072]So we keep doing individual advocacy

[00:00:53.833]I currently do research for the legal director,

[00:01:03.754]This internship has definitely spiked my interest
[00:01:06.047]in non-profit organizations.
[00:01:08.619]So not only do I work with amazing people,
[00:01:11.147]I get to engage in my community on a legislative level
[00:01:14.939]as well as a legal level.
[00:01:16.668]So I'm helping change the dynamic of Lincoln
[00:01:19.197]as well as the state of Nebraska.
[00:01:22.847]This internship has really helped me figure out
[00:01:25.189]what I want to do career wise.
[00:01:27.205]I highly recommend that every Ethnic Studies student
[00:01:30.283]apply for this grant and do internship work
[00:01:32.717]because it allows them to engage in their community
[00:01:35.008]and get paid for it, hone their skills, and their knowledge
[00:01:38.425]in order to work in the real world.
