[00:00:17.604]that have been experiencing domestic violence.
[00:00:20.191]I think the University of Nebraska Lincoln
[00:00:21.508]is a really great place to go to school.
[00:00:22.724]I think they definitely strive for multiculturalism,
[00:00:25.999]which is something that I believe is really important,
[00:00:27.958]not only for myself but also in the craft that I'm
[00:00:29.923]hoping to specialize and really hone in on.
[00:00:32.905]I think multiculturalism is going to be really important
[00:00:35.028]because we need to have an open mind
[00:00:37.108]working with these people
[00:00:38.585]and understanding where they're coming from.
[00:00:39.908]I'd say my program has been
[00:00:41.487]particularly wonderful for me,
[00:00:43.545]helping me get more comfortable with counseling
[00:00:46.641]and learning more about it,
[00:00:47.683]whether it just be you know, going to class
[00:00:49.305]and actually learning about
[00:00:50.607]the different kind of therapeutic orientations
[00:00:52.868]but also at the same time,
[00:00:54.243]really looking at multiculturalism and diversity
[00:00:56.205]and how that really plays into therapy.
[00:00:58.868]I think it's been really helpful for me just to
[00:01:00.287]grow not only as a person, but as a counselor.
