[00:00:09.478]My name is Alec Martini, I'm the President
[00:00:12.019]of the Actuarial Science Club at UNL.
[00:00:14.815]My favorite part about being an actuarial student here,
[00:00:18.903]has been the Actuarial Science Club.
[00:00:21.209]I've been a club officer for two years now,
[00:00:24.898]and it's been a very rewarding experience for me.
[00:00:27.242]We have one more meeting this semester you can come to.
[00:00:29.778]I've always looked up to Sue Vagts,
[00:00:31.674]the Director of the program, as a mentor for me.
[00:00:34.748]Whenever I have any questions for her,
[00:00:38.364]whether it's about academic advising,
[00:00:40.681]or whether it's about leading the Actuarial Club,
[00:00:44.061]she's always very very open to helping me out
[00:00:47.458]with those things.
[00:00:49.000]Sue is very passionate about this program
[00:00:51.573]and every student in it, and we all look up to her for that.
[00:00:57.492]Raising money for scholarships and for academic tutoring
[00:01:01.696]for our actuarial program is very important too,
[00:01:05.298]for our program to continue to thrive.
[00:01:08.459]For those of you who have or are considering giving
[00:01:11.331]to our actuarial program, I'd like to say thank you
[00:01:14.355]on behalf of the students.
[00:01:16.043]This program is excellent, and it gives our graduates,
[00:01:19.389]myself included, the opportunity to be ready for a career
[00:01:24.439]in actuarial science, which means the world to us.
