[00:01:00.963]What if there was a nuclear terrorist attack on Nebraska?
[00:01:06.409]Alright, I want everyone to imagine they're
[00:01:09.632]in a high school classroom right now.
[00:01:13.301]And we were looking for a way, that instead of
[00:01:15.563]expanding something, maybe we can consolidate something
[00:01:19.531]and that's where the high speed rail network comes in.
[00:01:22.792]There's different learning styles and different interests
[00:01:24.672]that every student brings to the table and
[00:01:26.621]this represents a need for advanced personal learning.
[00:01:29.712]And the solution is to get engineers the
[00:01:32.923]technical and nontechnical skills in the government.
[00:01:37.411]And we're gonna talk about a couple reasons why.

[00:01:43.943]We're gonna move forward,
[00:01:44.787]so we have time for one question from the back.
[00:01:47.579]And how we can get there right away is
[00:01:49.407]to build a multi trillion dollar infrastructure.
[00:01:54.687]And as far as cost to be able to do this, it would be
[00:01:58.827]semi public, semi private with investors chipping in.
[00:02:10.958]It says if you're going to be a cockroach,
[00:02:12.899]don't shine spotlights on yourself.
[00:02:15.796]When you're dealing with people like this,
[00:02:17.837]and especially if you end up in leadership roles,
[00:02:20.819]don't feel a need to jump and react immediately.

[00:02:28.779]We are all dysfunctional, we are all broken,
[00:02:31.907]and you have to just come into that situation
[00:02:34.638]with a position of understanding and forgiveness.

[00:02:44.769]And the things that we have shown you,
[00:02:47.505]I wish I had this training in my
[00:02:48.859]first three days at Union Pacific.
[00:02:50.937]Talk about hitting the ground running.
[00:02:52.778]And let me tell you, the feedback we're getting about you
[00:02:56.317]in particular is outstanding.
[00:02:58.570]They're very impressed with how engaged you are,
[00:03:01.610]your communication ability, the way you carry yourselves,
[00:03:05.338]the way you represent your schools, it's very commendable
[00:03:08.440]and it's the things that I see as a recruiter
[00:03:12.949]when I come back to UP and say
[00:03:15.168]these are the kids we need here at UP,
[00:03:17.149]from University of Nebraska.
[00:03:22.637]You know, one person's story could very much
[00:03:27.688]be a tool that you use later on
[00:03:29.978]or that you can fall back on, or that just
[00:03:33.517]you can use as a reference that would be helpful.
[00:03:37.525]So just expose yourself to new
[00:03:39.837]stuff and get out of your comfort zone for sure.
[00:03:43.546]It was a very broad learning experience
[00:03:47.136]and from there on, I hope to use it to push me forward
[00:03:50.466]to whatever it is that I need to do
[00:03:52.616]and to see me through my career, or getting
[00:03:54.797]through school, or whatever it is that I have to do.
[00:03:57.445]I mean, going through an application is one thing.
[00:03:59.875]I mean, you don't know the probability of getting
[00:04:01.856]selected, because there are so many other
[00:04:03.226]talented people out there, but should you get
[00:04:06.157]accepted and given the option to accept your offer,
[00:04:09.893]you should, because these are people who take
[00:04:12.414]time out of their day to address you and to
[00:04:15.826]see that, yes, you do have the potential to be
[00:04:17.626]something great in life, not just good, but
[00:04:20.386]a great thing, regardless of if it's an engineer
[00:04:22.654]or a person, and yeah, you should take the opportunity.
[00:04:25.704]If an opportunity comes to you, you should take it.
