[00:00:20.232]This is almost a perfect handy tool
[00:00:23.645]for X-ray detectors because of--
[00:00:26.686]Jinsong Huang and his colleagues
[00:00:28.621]found a simple way to build a better X-ray detector.
[00:00:32.787]A chemical compound gives the crystalline structure
[00:00:35.720]unique properties.
[00:00:37.591]For example, it is more sensitive
[00:00:39.706]than leading commercial detectors,
[00:00:41.822]so exposure to radiation can be limited.
[00:00:44.554]We want to use these kind of crystals
[00:00:47.682]to increase the sensitivity
[00:00:49.788]of detectors for X-ray,
[00:00:52.951]so that we can use much weak X-ray to the patients
[00:00:58.500]and we can still get the same kind of quality of image.
