- [00:00:06.999]It's a great opportunity to meet other women
- [00:00:09.343]that work in business and to hear
- [00:00:11.597]from some great leaders in our field.
- [00:00:14.141]We're celebrating women in business and sports teams
- [00:00:17.194]so I'm excited to hear how we can affiliate
- [00:00:19.691]teams and businesses together.
- [00:00:22.844]I'm in my 32nd year of being a coach
- [00:00:25.395]my 25th year of being a head coach
- [00:00:27.891]and every year
- [00:00:30.174]we work very hard
- [00:00:31.607]at developing, reinforcing, energizing our culture.
- [00:00:36.756]We have it serve as our foundation and our lighthouse
- [00:00:40.236]to be lived on a daily basis.
- [00:00:44.657]If you take care of your culture
- [00:00:48.186]your culture will take care of you.
- [00:00:51.772]Here's the other thing I know
- [00:00:53.228]about any organization, any business, any team.
- [00:00:56.825]That culture is really defined by its leadership.
- [00:01:02.049]It starts at the top and trickles down
- [00:01:05.309]to everyone else in a leadership position.
- [00:01:08.165]Your mission statement, your own personal mission statement
- [00:01:10.849]should be something that's short and simple
- [00:01:13.063]and if need be, you could recite it at gunpoint.
- [00:01:15.881]It's not to win softball games.
- [00:01:18.495]It's to work to have a positive impact
- [00:01:21.706]on the people around me.

- [00:02:00.091]I wanna dig a little deeper, you know
- [00:02:02.209]into what we've learned today.
- [00:02:04.993]Take our conversation a little bit further.
- [00:02:07.443]Just to know that I can build on everything
- [00:02:11.917]that I was taught as a student athlete
- [00:02:14.009]to be a confident female.
- [00:02:16.534]To step into, hopefully, a roll where I can
- [00:02:19.017]you know be a good, positive influence
- [00:02:21.908]and hopefully one day then lead teams like she does
- [00:02:25.574]that can bring the best out of people
- [00:02:27.999]is just my ultimate goal down the road.
- [00:02:30.315]I think it's a testament to just the power and the energy
- [00:02:34.700]of so many of the female leaders in here.
- [00:02:36.665]That you're paving the way for a lot of the younger ones
- [00:02:39.173]coming up, and it's gonna make it a lot easier, I think
- [00:02:42.089]for us, because of the work you've put in.
- [00:02:43.967]And that'll be my goal one day, too
- [00:02:45.848]is to kind of pave the way
- [00:02:47.639]for a younger generation after me.
- [00:02:49.264]So thank you to all of you for continuing to show up and
- [00:02:52.563]to make a difference for so many people in this community
- [00:02:55.422]and especially some of the young women
- [00:02:57.281]who are aspiring to be like all of you.
- [00:03:02.373]And I have said this to her since.
- [00:03:06.151]You, I think, will be President one day.
