- [00:00:04.823]I work at the Arbor Day Foundation as an intern.
- [00:00:07.356]But I am a green coffee buyer.
- [00:00:09.425]The trip I took over the summer,
- [00:00:10.944]I went to Peru, to Columbia,
- [00:00:12.556]and then prior to that I went to Guatemala.
- [00:00:14.992]I was looking at building relations for coffee purchases,
- [00:00:19.785]and conduct some research looking at
- [00:00:22.512]the different types of processing techniques.
- [00:00:26.516]Anthropology is a holistic study of humanities,
- [00:00:29.987]whether it be farmers in Nebraska or in Peru.
- [00:00:33.557]Make sure that the project that you're implementing
- [00:00:36.877]fits the social, economic, and environmental situations
- [00:00:40.861]of the community that you're working with.
- [00:00:43.350]The tools and the strategies that I've learned
- [00:00:46.378]through applied and, or development anthropology
- [00:00:50.261]really correlate to what I do here.
- [00:00:52.749]It's a wide field with a lot of applications.
