[00:00:22.821]Being part of the CBA family is so special
[00:00:25.027]and as an alum I always loved coming back to campus
[00:00:27.807]and seeing what's new, what's updated
[00:00:29.266]around the college of business.
[00:00:32.037]It's just good to see some folks that you haven't seen in
[00:00:35.911]a long time and so we enjoy coming back.
[00:00:40.204]CBA was also front and center at Nebraska Alumni
[00:00:43.916]Association Football Friday event.

[00:00:54.804]Not only are we already a world class business college
[00:00:58.095]but we're gonna knock the socks off of what's ahead

[00:01:13.822]Construction on the new CBA building is in full swing.
[00:01:18.142]Our own Rik Barrera took university administrators
[00:01:21.384]and alumni on an insider tour.
[00:01:24.838]This is a 240,000 square foot facility,
[00:01:29.340]which is twice the size of our current building.
[00:01:33.060]One of the highlights is our grand staircase.
[00:01:37.289]What we wanted was a signature,
[00:01:39.420]Big 10 business school building.
[00:01:41.838]The book end to this building is the stadium,
[00:01:44.697]which has the same kind of exterior that we have.
[00:01:48.668]As you go around there's lots of natural light coming in.
[00:01:51.891]I think it will help a lot with recruiting, for sure.
[00:01:54.714]I mean I would love to see a facility like this.
[00:01:58.510]What you're in now is what we
[00:01:59.802]affectionately call the cube.
[00:02:01.882]That's gonna be our trading room and finance lab
[00:02:04.892]so most of our finance classes will be held in there.
[00:02:08.151]This is the cluster style I mentioned that will have
[00:02:10.999]the oval tables and then the one next door is
[00:02:14.289]the k-style with the u-shape.
[00:02:17.737]This is our executive boardroom here
[00:02:20.577]and then what your standing on is
[00:02:22.668]what we affectionately call the Dean's Tailgate Terrace.

[00:02:29.897]This room will have a mixture of tables and soft seating,
[00:02:33.639]just a gathering space.
[00:02:36.199]Then we can switch that out
[00:02:38.929]and we could hold a dinner
[00:02:41.236]in here for 300 with round tables.

[00:02:47.527]coming to the University of Nebraska.

[00:02:57.438]To wrap things up I want to share with you some of the
[00:03:00.666]highlights from our largest ever Partnership Summit.
[00:03:04.958]We had more than 200 members
[00:03:06.857]from our 15 advisory boards on campus.
[00:03:10.048]We've got an amazing momentum going on in the
[00:03:12.115]business college right now and we want to keep that momentum
[00:03:13.995]going so we're bringing Nebraska alumni in to
[00:03:17.893]help advance the college in every aspect of business.
[00:03:21.792]So this brings business leaders from all over the world
[00:03:24.851]frankly to be advisors to our fantastic faculty
[00:03:28.455]that are creating a great school of business in the Big 10.
[00:03:32.855]And as always thank you for everything you do
[00:03:35.682]to support CBA and go Big Red.
