With over 40 different student organizations at the University of Nebraska College of Law, getting involved is easy. Two Nebraska Law students share their stories of becoming involved in the law school community.

[00:00:54.574]Outside of the classroom, I spend a lot of time with
[00:00:57.229]my study partner, and we study together,
[00:01:00.604]and go through the cases together, outline together.
[00:01:03.024]The most surprising thing about
[00:01:04.309]my first year of law school is how easy it is
[00:01:08.100]to get involved in various organizations.
[00:01:10.303]I didn't run for SBA, but I ended up winning
[00:01:12.822]a write-on campaign, so I was written in by members
[00:01:15.502]of my class as a Student Bar Association candidate,
[00:01:19.299]and I am now going to be a 2L representative
[00:01:21.766]for the Student Bar Association next year.
[00:01:25.773]It's extremely easy to become involved
[00:01:27.777]in those organizations, so it's not like
[00:01:29.357]you just have them on your resume.
[00:01:30.592]You can actually make a difference
[00:01:32.120]your first year of law school.
[00:01:51.101]As long as you do the work,
[00:01:52.139]you can answer any question asked of you,
[00:01:54.314]and succeed in class.

[00:02:33.120]The Table of 10 is a chance for a professor
[00:02:36.061]to sit and talk with you over the lunch hour,
[00:02:38.609]and talk about an area of interest that they have.
