[00:00:08.779]After I receive my Communication Studies degree,
[00:00:11.260]I first plan to move internationally
[00:00:13.279]to teach English in Vietnam.
[00:00:15.119]And then I will be getting a Masters Degree
[00:00:19.760]in international relations and international communication
[00:00:22.739]ultimately to work in one of the government sectors.
[00:00:26.159]Whether that's with the UN, Department of State,
[00:00:28.519]really across the board there.
[00:00:29.637]It could be doing public relations
[00:00:31.438]working in journalism, internal communication
[00:00:34.097]but ultimately something with
[00:00:35.617]the communication focus for an international organization.
[00:00:39.057]With my Communication Studies degree,
[00:00:40.457]I'm planning on graduating in December of 2016
[00:00:43.998]and then getting a job in the Human Resources department.
[00:00:47.818]With my Communication Studies degree
[00:00:49.378]I plan to go to grad school and specifically focus
[00:00:52.057]on health communication.
[00:00:53.978]I would like to do research on how LGBTQ individuals
[00:00:58.858]are effected by health and what communication solutions
[00:01:04.377]can be used to increase positive outcomes,
[00:01:08.477]as well as studying women's issues
[00:01:10.917]in the healthcare sphere.
[00:01:13.818]Something I'm really interested in is Personnel Recruiting
[00:01:16.497]and that involves tons of communication.
[00:01:18.977]With my Communication Studies degree,
[00:01:20.437]I plan on going to graduate school,
[00:01:23.318]at least that's the plan for right now.
[00:01:24.398]I've been applying, this last semester,
[00:01:26.318]for higher education student affairs graduate programs
[00:01:31.446]and Communication Studies, I feel,
[00:01:33.507]has definitely prepared me.
[00:01:36.541]Having to take the (mumbles) class and do
[00:01:38.940]my own research study, I feel confident
[00:01:41.920]walking into a graduate program
[00:01:43.621]that might have it's own amount of research credit
[00:01:48.961]and research activities to participate in.
[00:01:52.660]While I haven't completely decided
[00:01:54.481]what I want to do with my Communication Studies degree,
[00:01:56.881]immediately after I graduate, I plan on traveling.
[00:01:59.581]After that, I'm looking to pursue either public relations
[00:02:04.401]or possibly in finance business.
[00:02:09.821]With my Communication Studies degree,
[00:02:12.442]I am going to go into Marketing and I'm going
[00:02:14.581]to use everything I've learned in communication
[00:02:17.031]to better relate to my customers
[00:02:19.551]and to be able to suit their needs better.
[00:02:21.850]I'm also going to work with a motivational speaker
[00:02:24.790]and I can use all of the things I've learned
[00:02:27.510]as a Com major in that as well.
