- [00:00:00.876](slow pop music)
- [00:00:03.318]Hi, I'm Anabella
- [00:00:03.913]and I'm an architecture major
- [00:00:04.993]here at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
- [00:00:07.754]The one thing I always make time
- [00:00:09.191]for every day is to run.
- [00:00:11.130]Whenever I'm running or just walking outside,
- [00:00:13.289]I feel like it's like a stress relief for me.
- [00:00:16.162]That's always just so fun to see,
- [00:00:17.483]the life downtown and just kind of
- [00:00:19.480]the young life that there is.
- [00:00:23.278]I'm from Sioux Falls, South Dakota
- [00:00:24.569]but by family's originally from
- [00:00:25.757]Ecuador, South America.
- [00:00:27.487]I grew up going to Ecuador.
- [00:00:28.590]We try to go once or twice a year.
- [00:00:30.848]I know the food's great.
- [00:00:31.761]The culture's just so awesome.
- [00:00:34.703]The studio space that we're in
- [00:00:35.660]is just very open, and it allows
- [00:00:38.794]for you to be able to communicate
- [00:00:40.420]and interact with all of the students in your studio
- [00:00:42.684]and that's just really important cause with
- [00:00:44.855]design and with architecture in the future,
- [00:00:46.794]you're gonna be working with so many people
- [00:00:48.652]and you have to be able to collaborate
- [00:00:50.093]with one another and kind of discuss things
- [00:00:51.788]as you're going throughout the process.
- [00:00:54.303]I spend so much time at Arch Hall
- [00:00:55.584]that so many people just don't know
- [00:00:57.181]where I am sometimes, but usually it's Arch Hall.
- [00:00:59.557]The felling when you're finally
- [00:01:01.519]done with a project,
- [00:01:02.424]there's nothing like just sitting back
- [00:01:04.085]and looking at your presentation
- [00:01:06.279]because you had spent so much time
- [00:01:08.020]working on all the drawings and
- [00:01:09.356]the renderings and the layout of everything
- [00:01:11.260]and then your model too and seeing all of that done,
- [00:01:13.884]that feeling is just so great and rewarding.
- [00:01:17.375]The teachers are so dedicated in this program
- [00:01:18.914]that not only are they here
- [00:01:21.118]during the school hours,
- [00:01:22.940]they will take the time out of
- [00:01:24.150]their day and night, no matter what
- [00:01:25.550]they're doing, to come and help.
- [00:01:27.951]The location of the campus is great
- [00:01:29.750]because it's just in the middle
- [00:01:30.993]of this up-and-coming downtown area.
- [00:01:32.850]There's just so many good restaurants,
- [00:01:34.290]good coffee shops to study at.
- [00:01:36.427]I just love it so far.
- [00:01:38.586]Everything is designed.
- [00:01:39.654]The clothes that you're wearing is designed,
- [00:01:41.059]the building, what we're sitting in
- [00:01:43.067]right now is designed.
- [00:01:44.899]I think realizing that in a different way
- [00:01:46.878]when you're an architecture student,
- [00:01:48.085]you see the world completely differently.
- [00:01:51.040]I don't know, that's just what amazes me
- [00:01:52.660]is that what I'm going to be doing
- [00:01:53.995]really, truly makes a difference
- [00:01:55.852]and you're just always changing the world
- [00:01:57.818]when you're designing.
