Letterbox Club

UNL students, faculty and staff at the Barkley Center provide educational packages to children in Nebraska’s foster care system through the Letterbox Club. The program-- developed in the UK-- helps provides personalized mailings the include books, games, activities and hand written letters to the children. Children in foster care often bounce from home to home and carry their few belongings in a garbage bag. The Letterbox packages provide an emotional boost by providing them with their own possessions that they can carry with them wherever they go.
