[00:00:19.591]about yourself, your background.
[00:00:22.011]Well I'm originally from California, from a town
[00:00:24.710]in eastern Los Angeles county called Covina.
[00:00:27.631]And I got my Bachelor's in Zoology
[00:00:31.391]at California Poly State Technic University
[00:00:33.860]in Pomona, California.
[00:00:35.770]And I wanted to go into Wildlife Biology.
[00:00:38.870]Why did you choose to come to UNL
[00:00:40.630]and the DPH program?
[00:00:42.530]Well, I came to UNL specifically for the program.
[00:00:46.720]Before I decided to come here,
[00:00:49.210]I got the flyer for it
[00:00:51.380]a year before I decided to come.
[00:00:53.350]And I sat on that and I decided to apply for
[00:00:57.250]different Master's programs in Wildlife Biology.

[00:01:10.141]experience, and I was just finding it
[00:01:12.800]difficult to get into the field.
[00:01:15.900]And I thought that this is a very interesting program
[00:01:18.011]because it was very interdisciplinary
[00:01:20.430]and it was very applicable.
[00:01:22.370]And I really did not want to do
[00:01:24.230]a lot of research, heavy work,
[00:01:26.410]I wanted to do a lot of more application work
[00:01:29.030]to help better farming practices,
[00:01:33.491]more environmentally friendly as well as
[00:01:35.711]more efficient and cost-effective for the growers.

[00:01:42.691]I would like to go into consulting.

[00:01:46.791]to help disseminate the information
[00:01:49.770]that I've learned and to disseminate the research
