- [00:00:11.116]new and interesting situations,
- [00:00:14.400]for a performance that were really
- [00:00:16.662]exciting and challenging, but
- [00:00:18.018]very different from the performance venues
- [00:00:20.107]that we're used to here in the states.

- [00:00:29.408]finding a way to use music,
- [00:00:32.524]or use our personality, or smile,
- [00:00:34.464]or, our sort of rapport with people
- [00:00:37.857]had to be really great because,
- [00:00:39.830]there were a lot of communication
- [00:00:41.406]barriers.
- [00:00:42.158]I really feel like it
- [00:00:43.158]was the first time
- [00:00:44.083]where we didn't have as much time
- [00:00:45.750]as we wanted before every concert to
- [00:00:47.466]you know, warm up and prepair.
- [00:00:49.109]It was play a concert get on a bus go and
- [00:00:51.206]go to bed, get up the next morning,
- [00:00:53.035]get on another bus and play a concert.
- [00:00:54.981]you know, I feel like one of the tricky
- [00:00:56.918]things about, transitioning between a
- [00:00:58.908]student life and a professional concert
- [00:01:00.767]career, is that, you know, when you're a
- [00:01:02.679]student you have six months to prepair
- [00:01:04.531]for a recital and you can, you have
- [00:01:06.209]warm-up time, here we were there
- [00:01:08.093]for twelve days and basically had a
- [00:01:09.762]concert every day. No, real time to
- [00:01:11.430]practice on our own. So, I felt like it
- [00:01:13.323]was a learning experience, as far as,
- [00:01:15.081]being able to just play on the spot,
- [00:01:16.822]without as much warm-up time as we are
- [00:01:18.930]used to, or actual rehearsal time.
- [00:01:21.649]And fitting it in being efficient when we
- [00:01:23.678]ever did had that time.
- [00:01:26.287]From my perspective, I think we did have
- [00:01:28.210]a pretty good impact. On a lot of,
- [00:01:31.410]everyone we met really, I mean,
- [00:01:33.692]we interacted a lot with students there,
- [00:01:35.643]especially and I though that was really
- [00:01:37.678]interesting, it was
- [00:01:38.678]really enjoyable for me.
- [00:01:40.022]Students, I mean, like our chaperone
- [00:01:42.418]students especially,
- [00:01:43.740]were all versed well in english,
- [00:01:45.309]which was really impressive, and so
- [00:01:47.078]we could speak easily with them, and it
- [00:01:48.988]was nice to share,
- [00:01:50.012]sort of, our culture
- [00:01:51.036]with there cultures, dinners
- [00:01:52.410]and lunches every day.
- [00:01:53.496]They just all there faces light up,
- [00:01:55.208]and it was just like really magical.
- [00:01:56.926]we could see it
- [00:01:57.780]we had no idea we were going
- [00:01:59.147]to get this reaction from that and it
- [00:02:00.963]was really, and they all came up afterword
- [00:02:02.984]and they were just, "you played a piece
- [00:02:04.900]from our region" and
- [00:02:05.856]it was so special to them.
