[00:00:00.783]My name is Cory McKenna. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in dance.

[00:00:12.269]Dance is how I process the world around me. I find out most about myself through movement.
[00:00:20.301](voice of Susan Levine) Cory has been a student who, you know, came here, as many students do, without very much Modern Dance experience.
[00:00:26.731]And in no time at all, he realized that he had this inner modern dancer. And he began to grow this part of himself.
[00:00:35.340]And in order to do that, he took advantage of every opportunity that was afforded to him. So he literally has been involved in every one of the longer term projects.
[00:00:44.552]And I believe he has gone to every single one of the short-term masterclassess.
[00:00:49.301](Cory) I participated in the Diavolo Project, Axis, Troika Ranch, Heidi Latsky's GIMP, and a few other masterclasses.
[00:01:00.999]The most memorable masterclasses for me probably would be David Dorfman or Alvin Ailey.

[00:01:13.259]I met Axis here through one of the community participation opportunities, and they were so warm and welcoming to the cast, I think of twelve of us.
[00:01:25.583]And dancing with them makes me feel like "I want to bring dance to everybody."
[00:01:31.650](Susan) He's very memorable on his own, but to have really put himself out there and really been so brave,
[00:01:37.383]to say "Yeah, I'm going to audition for this," - "Yeah, I'm going to audition for that," and of course, get the parts,
[00:01:42.019]I think he really made it so that his potential to be a great performer can be even more easily realized.
[00:01:49.855]So I'm thrilled for him and I hope that he leaves really soon and gets me free tickets to all the shows he's in. (laughs)
