Campus Pink Out
Description
Pink, not red, is the color to wear on Friday, Oct. 26. The campus “Pink Out” is sponsored by the UNL Wellness Initiative to raise awareness about breast cancer. UNL faculty, staff and students are encouraged to wear pink on Friday and stop by the city and east campus unions for pink lemonade between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m.
The campus community is also invited to participate in the American Cancer Society “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk on Sunday, Oct. 28. You can join the UNL “Wear Pink…Bleed Red-Huskers” team or donate to the cause at the team website: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/GoPinkBleedRed. The team will meet Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the south softball field at Holmes Lake Park and the walk begins at 1 p.m. Pink bandanas will be sold for $5 each at Campus Recreation and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
