[00:00:01.092]I'm Michael Hoff and I have unearthed a massive Roman mosaic.
[00:00:07.009]The discovery in southern Turkey is a 1,600 square foot marble pavement.
[00:00:16.010]It's possibly the largest mosaic of its kind ever found.
[00:00:20.014]This find is significant because it answers a lot of cultural questions regarding the Roman Empire about 1,600 years ago.
[00:00:29.060]Very few institutions have an opportunity to excavate in Turkey and we're proud of the fact that the University of Nebraska is one of them.
[00:00:39.049]Nebraska students are getting an amazing experience digging in the ground to reveal these important historical and cultural remains.
