University of Nebraska-Lincoln entomology professor Tiffany Heng-Moss has a passion for insects, science and teaching. She knows the name of every student in her every class and believes hands-on experience is the best way to learn.

[00:00:09.072]them discover how cool of an organism these

[00:00:18.063]student-centered classroom versus instructor-
[00:00:20.094]centered. So every opportunity we have we
[00:00:23.021]want to be engaging those students and we
[00:00:25.071]want those students to be having the opportunity
[00:00:27.080]to discover things first-hand.
[00:00:29.072]STUDENT: Tiffany's awesome. She gives 120 percent
[00:00:33.095]every single time for every student.
[00:00:36.002]TIFFANY: I think it's really important that
[00:00:38.039]I share with students my passion.
[00:00:40.079]And my passion is for entomology.
[00:00:42.070]My passion is for science.
[00:00:44.050]My passion is for teaching.
[00:00:46.033]And I find that when you're excited about
[00:00:47.093]something, that's contagious in your classroom.
