[00:00:08.108]I'm a junior here at UNL.
[00:00:10.310]I originally went out to Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska.
[00:00:14.180]It's in the northwest Panhandle of the state.
[00:00:16.983]Out thereI majored in Ag Education, and I was a part of their 3+1 Ag Ed
[00:00:21.488]transfer program between UNL and Chadron State.
[00:00:25.258]It is just a small transfer program
[00:00:27.227]for students who are interested in becoming Ag teacher,
[00:00:31.131]but don't want to go straight to UNL right away or to a community college.
[00:00:36.469]It's a great way for students to kind of get some experience within the Ag Ed field
[00:00:41.641]without feeling overwhelmed, of living in a city or,
[00:00:45.445]you know, maybe going to a community college right down the road.
[00:00:48.481]That's kind of what happened to me.
[00:00:49.949]I didn't really want to go to community college.
[00:00:52.252]I wanted to go to a four year that was going to,
[00:00:54.454]teach me different things that I had never experienced.
[00:00:56.689]So that's how I found Chadron State in this 3+1 transfer program.
[00:01:00.894]My transition from Chadron State to Lincoln has been so smooth.
[00:01:04.998]And it's all thanks to everybody within the department.
[00:01:08.601]All of my professors were amazing at ensuring that I,
[00:01:13.473]you know, felt welcomed and that if I had any questions, I could go to them.
[00:01:17.377]And all of the students were super welcoming.
[00:01:19.946]And like one of my first days here, everybody was like, oh, like,
[00:01:23.683]nice to meet you.
[00:01:24.617]I'm, you know, so and so so it was super easy.
[00:01:27.720]And it honestly was, was nerve wracking that I thought it was going to be
[00:01:32.492]you're not just a face here, especially in the athletic department.
[00:01:35.628]Like all my professors know me by name.
[00:01:37.864]All of my classmates know me by name.
[00:01:39.632]And I was super worried transferring in.
[00:01:42.068]But within the first day I was immediately calmed down and thought, you know what?
[00:01:47.907]This is where I'm supposed to be right now.
[00:01:49.609]And honestly, I love Lincoln so much and it's great.
