[00:00:06.040]Hi, I'm Madison Kreifels I'm a senior AESC major with minors in the Engler program
[00:00:10.920]and broadcasting and I first found AESC when I was a senior in high school.
[00:00:16.400]I came and toured UNL’s campus and that's when I also toured
[00:00:20.320]the Engler program and really realized that this is the place
[00:00:23.520]I meant to be to help set myself up for success in my career post-college.
[00:00:28.520]Through my time in the ALEC program and in the Engler program,
[00:00:31.440]I launched my business InfoFilm LLC in the fall of 2023.
[00:00:35.520]At its core, InfoFilm
[00:00:37.480]focuses on storytelling and educating about the agriculture industry.
[00:00:41.160]I work with agricultural producers, ag organizations and ag tech companies

[00:00:45.600]share their story through videography, photography and social media management.
[00:00:50.080]Throughout my college experience, I've been very transparent with what
[00:00:53.000]I want out of my career post grad and very transparent with my professors.
[00:00:58.320]I let them know that I wanted to start my own business
[00:01:00.920]and have that be my full time career after graduating from UNL
[00:01:04.600]and they have been extremely supportive of that goal and of that dream,

[00:01:08.880]pushed me outside of my comfort zone, which is something that I know I needed
[00:01:12.760]and not necessarily wanted at the time, but also really needed to really
[00:01:16.680]set myself up for success so I could take my business InfoFilm full time.

[00:01:22.560]One of my favorite classes through the AESC program is ALEC 361,
[00:01:26.920]which really focuses on video and audio production.
[00:01:29.720]This is one of my most memorable classes because of the hands on experience
[00:01:33.720]that we were able to receive.
[00:01:35.120]Upstairs in the Agriculture Communications Building is a studio
[00:01:39.640]to record audio, and it was really awesome because we were able to record podcasts
[00:01:43.720]and get that real world experience
[00:01:45.360]that you don't necessarily get until you come here for college.
[00:01:49.520]The AESC program has been extremely supportive when knowing my future goals.
[00:01:55.200]So with my specific situation, I have to miss a lot of class
[00:01:59.640]for pitch competitions, for business development, for working with my clients,
[00:02:04.040]and my professors
[00:02:05.000]have all been extremely understanding when those situations come up
[00:02:09.120]because they know that that's what will advance me furthest in my career
[00:02:12.920]and when those opportunities are on my plate when I'm a college student
[00:02:16.320]is incredible because I'm able to really take advantage
[00:02:19.080]in the moment within these four years here at UNL help set me up for success.

[00:02:23.960]I launched InfoFilm LLC in the fall of 2023
[00:02:27.040]and with the help of my mentors here in the AESC program
[00:02:29.880]and in the Engler program and all of CASNR,
[00:02:32.080]I'm able to take InfoFilm full time after graduating in May of 2025,
[00:02:36.160]and I'm so excited and feel very blessed to work in the industry that I love.
