- [00:00:00.000]All right.
- [00:00:30.480]Should we go ahead and get this
- [00:00:31.260]thing started?
- [00:00:32.080]We don't have a huge agenda for
- [00:00:34.080]today, but we will roll through
- [00:00:36.240]kind of the usual updates.
- [00:00:38.200]And as usual, if there are
- [00:00:40.680]questions at the end, we will
- [00:00:43.490]have a period for people to ask
- [00:00:46.440]those and, you know, we can try
- [00:00:48.330]to get help at the end.
- [00:00:49.740]So Bob's not here today.
- [00:00:52.740]So we're just going to run
- [00:00:54.720]through the notes that were
- [00:00:56.890]sent out in the cache.
- [00:00:59.280]And if there's any other
- [00:01:00.580]discussion topics that come up,
- [00:01:02.400]we can go through those as well.
- [00:01:04.300]So as usual, here's the agenda.
- [00:01:10.020]We'll start with the shared
- [00:01:11.890]governance board update next.
- [00:01:14.240]And then get through that other
- [00:01:16.780]stuff.
- [00:01:17.620]Here we go.
- [00:01:20.760]All right.
- [00:01:21.700]So shared governance board
- [00:01:22.860]update.
- [00:01:23.340]We had some subdomain requests.
- [00:01:25.980]And I think the thing that took
- [00:01:28.120]up the most part of that
- [00:01:29.740]meeting is actually the first
- [00:01:31.900]bullet point there, which was a
- [00:01:34.430]discussion of AI-assisted chat.
- [00:01:36.920]So we've had a few units on
- [00:01:40.070]campus over the course of the
- [00:01:43.670]past month or so request the
- [00:01:47.120]ability to put AI chat on their
- [00:01:50.870]websites.
- [00:01:53.340]In one case, we had a further
- [00:01:55.150]discussion with them, and it
- [00:01:57.050]turns out that doing a little
- [00:01:58.870]bit of customization in the
- [00:02:00.630]chat widget that we have
- [00:02:02.140]already built into the site is
- [00:02:04.030]going to work for them.
- [00:02:07.440]And then I think the bigger
- [00:02:09.640]discussion in the meeting was
- [00:02:12.140]basically, you know, rather
- [00:02:14.740]than signing up for eight
- [00:02:16.780]different AI-assisted chat
- [00:02:19.240]widgets at the university and
- [00:02:21.740]trying to implement those
- [00:02:23.940]across different sites, the
- [00:02:26.440]goal will be to, you know, as a
- [00:02:29.040]group and as a, you know, try
- [00:02:31.540]to figure out one that works
- [00:02:33.840]for everybody.
- [00:02:35.440]I mean, there's really no
- [00:02:36.860]fighting it at this point, but
- [00:02:38.540]it's really a matter of kind of
- [00:02:40.160]evaluating what's going to work
- [00:02:41.910]the best with our systems. And
- [00:02:43.930]then, you know, there's also
- [00:02:46.420]the kind of the, at least that
- [00:02:48.920]I know of a couple different CRMs
- [00:02:51.620]on the backside right now.
- [00:02:54.100]So finding a AI-assisted chat
- [00:02:56.630]that might work with, you know,
- [00:02:59.480]one or two of those and
- [00:03:01.290]figuring those out.
- [00:03:03.360]So, yeah, Eric put a example of
- [00:03:06.650]one of the ones that we were
- [00:03:09.340]kind of discussing out there in
- [00:03:12.510]the chat here.
- [00:03:14.340]So you can kind of see how that
- [00:03:15.400]works.
- [00:03:15.800]Just as a heads up, because I
- [00:03:18.280]tried this, this is scoped to
- [00:03:20.860]the AI at Yale site.
- [00:03:22.820]So like, for instance, I asked,
- [00:03:24.750]immediately hopped on there and
- [00:03:26.560]started asking questions about
- [00:03:28.380]tuition. And it's like, sorry,
- [00:03:30.380]I don't know how to answer
- [00:03:31.770]those. Sorry, I don't know how
- [00:03:33.640]to answer those, which, again,
- [00:03:35.580]isn't super helpful if we just,
- [00:03:37.380]unless we have text, language
- [00:03:39.120]around that, that says, you
- [00:03:40.790]know, this text box, this chat
- [00:03:42.600]bot's limited, you're going to
- [00:03:44.400]get people on there and get
- [00:03:45.870]frustrated.
- [00:03:47.220]So it's something that we
- [00:03:48.500]probably need to scope to all
- [00:03:49.960]sites, something that can move
- [00:03:51.610]between sites. So if you send
- [00:03:53.310]somebody a link and they click
- [00:03:54.860]that link and they jump over to
- [00:03:56.410]that new site, then the chatbot
- [00:03:58.070]doesn't just poof, disappear
- [00:03:59.670]into thin air. So the
- [00:04:01.040]discussions are starting to
- [00:04:02.890]take place. I think that's what
- [00:04:05.030]I can say. I don't know if
- [00:04:06.700]anybody else in the WDN meeting
- [00:04:08.680]has anything else to add to
- [00:04:10.370]that.
- [00:04:17.220]No, I guess. Well, I'd add that.
- [00:04:20.100]Okay. Oh, am I muted? No, no,
- [00:04:22.800]you're not. I'd add I hate I
- [00:04:24.960]hate the term chat bot because
- [00:04:27.210]I think we all read, you know,
- [00:04:29.550]chat bots have existed for many
- [00:04:31.890]years now.
- [00:04:33.120]I think we've all, you know,
- [00:04:35.660]tried to use some system, you
- [00:04:38.210]know, say three years ago,
- [00:04:40.660]where you're forced to chat
- [00:04:43.000]with a robot that's pretending
- [00:04:45.650]to be a person and it doesn't
- [00:04:47.990]work and blah, blah, blah.
- [00:04:50.880]So, I mean, I think one thing
- [00:04:52.980]for us to consider is, you know,
- [00:04:55.350]something that is more akin, I
- [00:04:57.550]think the Yale one does it
- [00:04:59.340]pretty good in terms of
- [00:05:00.930]interface, something that's
- [00:05:03.130]more akin to chat GPT and the
- [00:05:05.070]like.
- [00:05:05.820]It's like an AI assistant, you
- [00:05:08.200]know, it's not mimicking that
- [00:05:10.590]you're chatting with a real
- [00:05:12.710]person disguised as a robot or
- [00:05:14.990]whatever.
- [00:05:17.060]Thanks, Ronell. I knew HR had
- [00:05:20.090]something because I got a
- [00:05:22.460]support question on it of
- [00:05:25.230]crawling sites. So that's good
- [00:05:28.990]to know what the name of it was.
- [00:05:34.620]And so, you know, I think, you
- [00:05:37.590]know, we'll be talking about
- [00:05:40.340]this in the future, but
- [00:05:43.070]certainly if anyone is aware of
- [00:05:45.400]your, you know, the departments
- [00:05:48.590]of one of my, one of my, not
- [00:05:51.120]sister departments, but.
- [00:05:53.940]Sibling?
- [00:05:55.220]Sibling, well, not siblings,
- [00:05:56.940]but, you know, your contemporaries
- [00:05:58.910]at other institutions.
- [00:06:00.360]If you're aware of anyone.
- [00:06:02.700]Your peers.
- [00:06:03.620]Your peers.
- [00:06:04.620]doing any sort of this sort of
- [00:06:06.900]AI interaction. I think from
- [00:06:09.370]what we gather, a lot of it is
- [00:06:11.640]still
- [00:06:12.240]behind login at universities.
- [00:06:15.130]Yale does have a site-wide ask.yale.edu,
- [00:06:19.230]but it's behind a login.
- [00:06:21.620]You have to be logged in with
- [00:06:23.230]your Yale credentials. So I
- [00:06:24.970]think at this point, a lot of
- [00:06:26.640]the schools
- [00:06:27.200]that have kind of something big
- [00:06:29.020]stood up across their whole
- [00:06:30.630]university, it is behind a
- [00:06:32.240]login
- [00:06:32.640]because I think there are a lot
- [00:06:33.780]of concerns about accuracy. You
- [00:06:35.240]know, if someone logs in and if,
- [00:06:37.860]I mean, if it was open to the
- [00:06:39.150]public and you ask it, how much
- [00:06:40.620]does tuition cost? And it gives
- [00:06:42.220]the
- [00:06:42.520]wrong answer. And you can
- [00:06:44.220]imagine other sensitive topics
- [00:06:46.250]related to sensitive issues. I'm
- [00:06:48.500]sure we
- [00:06:49.040]can all brainstorm. So I think
- [00:06:51.040]that's a lot of a concern is,
- [00:06:52.820]you know, bad information. So I
- [00:06:54.960]think
- [00:06:55.440]some of the schools that are
- [00:06:57.060]piloting stuff like this may
- [00:06:58.740]have it live, but it's behind
- [00:07:00.490]login only
- [00:07:01.240]for campus. This Yale one where
- [00:07:03.730]they kind of have it peaking
- [00:07:05.690]out on some Yale sites that
- [00:07:07.220]only
- [00:07:07.560]search the particular site is
- [00:07:09.180]really the only full-blown
- [00:07:10.660]implementation I'm kind of
- [00:07:12.150]aware of
- [00:07:12.680]at the moment. So what you're
- [00:07:14.410]saying is one of us needs to
- [00:07:15.860]get accepted to Yale so we can
- [00:07:17.460]test this
- [00:07:18.100]thing? Something like that. But
- [00:07:20.820]I think the Yale one's kind of
- [00:07:22.920]interesting in that obviously
- [00:07:25.230]the
- [00:07:25.640]only thing they have public is
- [00:07:27.640]like the link i posted where it
- [00:07:29.640]only searches the one site
- [00:07:31.460]which to some degree that could
- [00:07:33.860]be useful but i think you know
- [00:07:36.080]as aaron talked about we got a
- [00:07:38.290]lot
- [00:07:38.680]of things to consider as we
- [00:07:40.590]eventually go down the road
- [00:07:42.600]because i think as baba says
- [00:07:44.600]can you even
- [00:07:45.580]imagine five years from now
- [00:07:48.290]that every university won't
- [00:07:51.130]have some sort of you know chat
- [00:07:54.060]gpt like
- [00:07:55.040]interface to their website, you
- [00:07:56.840]know, so. Well, and even like,
- [00:07:58.780]you know, Rennell mentioning HR,
- [00:08:00.780]I assume that's going to be scoped
- [00:08:02.490]to multiple URLs because
- [00:08:03.780]otherwise, like, what if you
- [00:08:05.380]send
- [00:08:05.720]somebody to EAP or one of the
- [00:08:07.430]several sites, you know, that's
- [00:08:09.590]also within HR, you know, you'd
- [00:08:11.690]want
- [00:08:12.060]that to cover that information
- [00:08:14.460]as well. There's quite a few
- [00:08:16.760]different URLs under the hood
- [00:08:19.080]of HR
- [00:08:19.560]even so so yeah we're in
- [00:08:22.790]opening rounds of discussion on
- [00:08:27.440]that so all right moving along
- [00:08:32.320]to some slacktivity all right
- [00:08:34.860]all right so we had a question
- [00:08:37.290]and this is something we did
- [00:08:39.620]have the
- [00:08:40.460]ability to do in the old system
- [00:08:42.640]basically because we just had a
- [00:08:44.910]free-for-all html field there
- [00:08:47.150]well
- [00:08:47.660]a free-for-all insofar as you
- [00:08:49.660]could add links in there in
- [00:08:51.420]your site affiliation link. In
- [00:08:53.650]the new
- [00:08:54.240]system, it's set up a little
- [00:08:55.340]differently. Somebody asked if
- [00:08:56.720]they could have multiple affiliations.
- [00:08:58.540]The answer is no, because you
- [00:09:00.100]can only have one link there.
- [00:09:01.730]So the solution would be, you
- [00:09:03.500]know,
- [00:09:04.140]you could display the text that
- [00:09:05.960]says this is a partnership
- [00:09:07.500]between blah and blah. And then
- [00:09:09.460]the
- [00:09:09.700]link would be a link on your
- [00:09:12.010]site that explains that
- [00:09:14.120]benefits of that alignment or
- [00:09:16.760]that multiple
- [00:09:18.120]affiliate partnership that you
- [00:09:19.960]have on your site. So, you know,
- [00:09:21.970]just a little bit different
- [00:09:23.540]than we
- [00:09:24.080]previously used to do it, but
- [00:09:25.750]you still theoretically can get
- [00:09:27.570]that, get that linked up in
- [00:09:29.110]there. So.
- [00:09:30.100]All right. Sitemap for CMS
- [00:09:32.890]sites. Does CMS sites have a
- [00:09:35.780]built-in sitemap function?
- [00:09:39.700]They do not currently have one
- [00:09:41.440]that's built in that everybody
- [00:09:43.230]can use.
- [00:09:43.900]I think the answer to this was
- [00:09:45.610]you could be accomplished using
- [00:09:47.550]views.
- [00:09:48.220]Obviously not everybody has
- [00:09:49.580]access to views.
- [00:09:50.500]I do think that this is on our
- [00:09:52.440]roadmap and I will hand that
- [00:09:54.380]off to either
- [00:09:55.380]Eric or Sarah and who could
- [00:09:56.590]answer that question.
- [00:09:57.800]Yeah. Cause I think we saw the
- [00:09:59.880]best,
- [00:10:00.380]the best solution for this is a,
- [00:10:02.540]is a module that requires Drupal
- [00:10:04.700]11.
- [00:10:05.460]So we got to get upgraded first.
- [00:10:06.880]So, yep.
- [00:10:09.700]Okay. So removing old content
- [00:10:13.090]from Google results. Again,
- [00:10:16.480]this is something if you've
- [00:10:19.460]ever tried to submit content to
- [00:10:21.240]be indexed by them or remove it,
- [00:10:23.080]Google's a little bit of a
- [00:10:24.640]black box in terms of when they
- [00:10:26.430]scan stuff, when they remove
- [00:10:28.230]stuff. So the best you can hope
- [00:10:30.170]for
- [00:10:30.460]is to delete that content from
- [00:10:32.340]your site and then just don't
- [00:10:34.130]make sure that you don't have
- [00:10:35.920]any
- [00:10:36.280]links still pointing to that
- [00:10:37.860]content because even if it's
- [00:10:39.430]like 404ing you know it google
- [00:10:41.480]might think
- [00:10:42.240]that that's coming back so i
- [00:10:44.080]would say not only delete it
- [00:10:45.920]but also make sure that you
- [00:10:47.710]know you
- [00:10:48.360]don't have anything pointing to
- [00:10:50.810]that anymore so that it's there's
- [00:10:53.350]nothing saying that it exists
- [00:10:55.720]anymore essentially um if there's
- [00:10:57.560]no incoming links or anything
- [00:10:59.140]to it then i think you know
- [00:11:00.580]Google. Again, I don't know how
- [00:11:03.080]long it takes them to remove
- [00:11:05.070]stuff, but that's the best you
- [00:11:07.420]can hope for. There is
- [00:11:09.100]something called that we looked
- [00:11:11.400]into last week and it's, it's
- [00:11:13.520]an old
- [00:11:14.040]function that used to be a
- [00:11:15.400]little bit easier to get access
- [00:11:17.080]to. What's that called Ryan?
- [00:11:18.890]Google
- [00:11:19.340]site manager or something. Well,
- [00:11:22.350]there's Google search console,
- [00:11:25.060]but you have to be, you have to
- [00:11:27.580]have access to your actual site
- [00:11:31.400]analytics. Um, and like, like
- [00:11:36.030]your email address, your email
- [00:11:39.340]address has to be associated
- [00:11:42.220]with a, a given sites, um,
- [00:11:45.070]analytics and search and so on.
- [00:11:48.410]And,
- [00:11:49.080]And in order to flag a page or
- [00:11:52.770]content as being removed, you
- [00:11:56.960]have to either upload an HTML
- [00:12:00.820]file, which Google will then
- [00:12:05.280]use to kind of track those
- [00:12:09.000]changes.
- [00:12:10.860]and you can indicate which
- [00:12:13.010]content has been removed.
- [00:12:15.440]Or yes, meta tag is another way
- [00:12:22.480]of indicating that.
- [00:12:27.720]And then, gosh, there were two
- [00:12:30.760]other similar,
- [00:12:32.180]like related options that I'm
- [00:12:33.630]drawing a blank on.
- [00:12:34.740]But as soon as we move on, it'll
- [00:12:37.640]come to me.
- [00:12:40.860]Yeah, it wasn't necessarily a
- [00:12:46.840]just click of a button solution.
- [00:12:53.540]Well, there's not one that's
- [00:12:56.200]immediate.
- [00:12:57.520]The link I posted does allow
- [00:12:59.650]you to claim your site, and you
- [00:13:02.120]can request Google to take down
- [00:13:04.660]a URL, but it's not immediate.
- [00:13:08.840]Google's still going to do it
- [00:13:10.420]whenever they do it in the
- [00:13:11.820]coming days.
- [00:13:12.780]It could be hours, it could be
- [00:13:13.880]days.
- [00:13:14.220]And Isaac does have a good
- [00:13:18.000]point there that depending on
- [00:13:21.580]what the specific case you're
- [00:13:23.840]talking about,
- [00:13:25.160]whether it's outdated, if it's
- [00:13:27.560]something that you've deleted
- [00:13:29.890]or want gone entirely,
- [00:13:31.740]you can redirect the URL.
- [00:13:34.420]I think we've had some cases
- [00:13:36.310]where the little preview text
- [00:13:38.380]in the search result is
- [00:13:39.950]outdated.
- [00:13:40.940]And to that, a redirect is not
- [00:13:43.270]going to help.
- [00:13:44.640]So that, you know, you kind of
- [00:13:46.840]just have to get Google to
- [00:13:48.620]refresh.
- [00:13:49.520]So this is a question that came
- [00:13:54.900]up.
- [00:13:55.980]And this is also probably going
- [00:13:57.920]to fall into CMS updates later
- [00:13:59.780]on, the answer to this question.
- [00:14:02.100]but somebody said, I need help
- [00:14:03.690]with certain pages requiring a
- [00:14:05.470]UNL login. Can somebody point
- [00:14:07.060]me in
- [00:14:07.220]the right direction? So when
- [00:14:09.950]you edit a page now, a builder
- [00:14:12.600]page, and I think it's relates
- [00:14:15.290]to any
- [00:14:15.940]page like person and news as
- [00:14:18.470]well. So when you edit that
- [00:14:21.110]page on the right-hand side
- [00:14:23.640]between
- [00:14:24.480]URL alias and authoring
- [00:14:25.760]information, you're going to
- [00:14:27.440]have a new little dropdown menu
- [00:14:29.120]that says UNL
- [00:14:29.920]access. So under this little
- [00:14:33.200]drop down menu, you can
- [00:14:35.710]restrict your pages to log in
- [00:14:38.730]based on any of
- [00:14:40.340]those affiliations. So if you
- [00:14:42.160]click any affiliation, it's
- [00:14:43.840]going to make sure that, you
- [00:14:45.450]know, any of
- [00:14:46.380]those people have to log in to
- [00:14:47.960]see your site. If you have
- [00:14:49.470]something that's maybe just
- [00:14:51.050]like a
- [00:14:51.460]faculty and staff resource, you
- [00:14:53.850]might just want to check those
- [00:14:55.990]bottom buttons to give them
- [00:14:57.950]access,
- [00:14:58.720]you know if it's again if it's
- [00:15:00.420]student related you could just
- [00:15:02.300]click that middle one for
- [00:15:03.800]students
- [00:15:04.500]so um i think guest is you know
- [00:15:07.380]just kind of a another affiliation
- [00:15:10.880]i don't i don't even know
- [00:15:13.400]we still have guest accounts i
- [00:15:15.830]guess we do but um anyway that
- [00:15:18.150]we just rolled out probably
- [00:15:20.480]three weeks ago two weeks ago
- [00:15:23.240]something like that and so that
- [00:15:26.230]is now and as noted in
- [00:15:28.260]below in the fine print, you
- [00:15:31.160]can leave those blank, leave
- [00:15:34.200]them unchecked if it's just
- [00:15:36.960]general
- [00:15:37.900]public viewing. And this doesn't
- [00:15:40.600]solve an issue for like, I know,
- [00:15:43.120]I think we've had some people
- [00:15:45.320]come in and say they want to do
- [00:15:47.030]like a whole section, like a
- [00:15:48.760]whole group of book pages.
- [00:15:50.580]That's like 40. I mean,
- [00:15:52.000]theoretically you could do it
- [00:15:53.400]this way, but you'd have to do
- [00:15:54.790]each book page,
- [00:15:56.340]You know, so I don't know that
- [00:15:58.950]that's the greatest solution to
- [00:16:01.800]that.
- [00:16:02.580]This is great for single pages
- [00:16:04.480]or small little groups of pages
- [00:16:06.460]where you need to require login.
- [00:16:08.520]Oh, yeah, this is bonus slide.
- [00:16:14.080]Bonus.
- [00:16:14.820]We kind of were talking about
- [00:16:16.570]this before, but we, you know,
- [00:16:18.760]If previously we had a visual
- [00:16:21.680]representation of sites that
- [00:16:24.740]were 100% web audit, and if you
- [00:16:28.620]go down in the footer, you'll
- [00:16:31.640]see if a site has a 100% in web
- [00:16:35.150]audit, you will see a filled in
- [00:16:38.300]star.
- [00:16:39.460]It's not gold, but it's a
- [00:16:40.780]little star that's filled in.
- [00:16:42.580]And if your site is at 90% or
- [00:16:44.520]higher in web audit, you'll see
- [00:16:46.520]the outline of a star.
- [00:16:48.760]It's just a nice little visual
- [00:16:50.550]way to...
- [00:16:51.620]And it says Silver Star.
- [00:16:53.880]Silver Star.
- [00:16:54.920]For 90 plus.
- [00:16:56.280]So we only celebrate A or A
- [00:16:59.260]plus sites, I guess, if you're
- [00:17:02.480]going by letter grades.
- [00:17:03.700]All right.
- [00:17:11.620]Behold the glory, folks.
- [00:17:13.740]100%.
- [00:17:18.760]we are beholding.
- [00:17:21.140]As usual, there's documentation
- [00:17:25.870]for UNL CMS there on the WDN
- [00:17:28.560]website.
- [00:17:29.520]And then there's, if you're
- [00:17:31.100]have an issue that you come
- [00:17:33.120]into Slack or something to look
- [00:17:35.500]for,
- [00:17:36.060]there's a list of existing
- [00:17:37.790]issues there on GitHub.
- [00:17:39.580]Although GitHub was having some
- [00:17:40.790]issues today.
- [00:17:41.440]So not to conflate those.
- [00:17:48.760]Oh, this is just a reminder. If
- [00:17:50.570]you're requesting help in Slack,
- [00:17:52.460]please have a link to the page
- [00:17:54.120]that needs troubleshooting just
- [00:17:56.420]to give us context, anyone who's
- [00:17:58.690]giving context. All
- [00:18:00.320]right. Web audit metrics. Drum
- [00:18:04.080]roll.
- [00:18:05.000]Two things are down and that's
- [00:18:07.430]largely because of --
- [00:18:09.280]The one thing. Links. Links
- [00:18:11.640]were down enough that it hurt
- [00:18:13.860]the overall GPA. Yep.
- [00:18:18.000]So check your links.
- [00:18:20.840]We're going to zoom through
- [00:18:24.040]this meeting.
- [00:18:26.020]Here we go.
- [00:18:26.540]Moving on to CMS updates.
- [00:18:28.500]All righty.
- [00:18:31.500]Well, I think the big one we
- [00:18:32.800]kind of talked about, UNL
- [00:18:34.380]access.
- [00:18:35.560]And the other thing to note on
- [00:18:36.930]it, I don't think Aaron
- [00:18:38.060]mentioned that, was using that
- [00:18:40.290]UNL access setting only
- [00:18:42.420]restricts viewing the page.
- [00:18:47.240]It doesn't restrict viewing, it
- [00:18:50.020]doesn't restrict access to any
- [00:18:52.620]files embedded in the page,
- [00:18:55.000]either images or say like a PDF
- [00:18:57.520]link.
- [00:18:58.260]So, you know, a person probably
- [00:19:01.130]wouldn't likely know that URL,
- [00:19:03.900]but theoretically, you know,
- [00:19:06.750]that on that page that's behind
- [00:19:09.340]the login, so you have to log
- [00:19:11.800]in to access the page.
- [00:19:14.680]If there's a PDF on that page,
- [00:19:16.480]that link could be shared
- [00:19:18.010]around.
- [00:19:18.780]It could be posted on Twitter,
- [00:19:21.130]and everyone would be able to
- [00:19:23.300]access the PDF.
- [00:19:24.740]So it is only restricting
- [00:19:27.080]access to viewing the webpage
- [00:19:29.860]as a whole,
- [00:19:31.060]but those individual links are
- [00:19:32.950]still public if someone knows
- [00:19:34.760]the address.
- [00:19:35.760]Now we're thinking of an
- [00:19:38.050]additional option we could add
- [00:19:41.030]to, like,
- [00:19:42.280]media library of uploading a
- [00:19:44.130]private file that goes behind
- [00:19:46.060]the login or what have you.
- [00:19:47.980]But for now, and kind of what
- [00:19:49.520]we've already, and also to
- [00:19:51.010]avoid, you know, the whole
- [00:19:52.570]point of the
- [00:19:53.240]CMS isn't to be, you know, we're
- [00:19:56.040]just not able to be the file
- [00:19:58.240]cabinet for the whole
- [00:20:00.060]university of
- [00:20:01.380]storing all the files. And
- [00:20:02.910]people typically want to, you
- [00:20:04.590]know, host a whole ton of files
- [00:20:06.260]and have
- [00:20:06.800]them access restricted. That's
- [00:20:08.630]something, you know, we've
- [00:20:10.200]always kind of referred SharePoint
- [00:20:12.100]to,
- [00:20:12.500]which obviously we've all
- [00:20:14.180]experienced the issues with
- [00:20:16.010]SharePoint migration, but that's
- [00:20:18.290]the answer
- [00:20:19.060]for, you know, file, large file
- [00:20:21.800]storage and kind of file access
- [00:20:24.270]restrictions. So we may have
- [00:20:26.730]been,
- [00:20:27.400]go ahead. If you haven't
- [00:20:29.380]experienced that, get ready.
- [00:20:31.910]Yeah. So we, we may have an
- [00:20:34.070]option
- [00:20:34.740]And eventually, you know, if
- [00:20:36.430]you just have a single PDF and
- [00:20:37.970]really want to make sure it's
- [00:20:39.530]behind the login, we'll add a
- [00:20:41.140]private file thing to the media
- [00:20:42.840]library.
- [00:20:43.700]But for now, that's the current
- [00:20:45.560]status of it.
- [00:20:46.500]If a file really needs to be
- [00:20:48.300]locked down, like a PDF or an
- [00:20:50.270]Excel spreadsheet of data, it
- [00:20:52.390]should go on SharePoint and
- [00:20:54.290]control the access there and
- [00:20:56.280]then link to it.
- [00:21:00.840]The other thing that's new,
- [00:21:02.450]group sites should have better
- [00:21:04.220]performance.
- [00:21:05.220]I know that's been an issue.
- [00:21:07.660]So that should be improved.
- [00:21:10.940]Next slide.
- [00:21:11.860]And once again, I added more.
- [00:21:13.940]I didn't realize the screenshot
- [00:21:15.600]was before.
- [00:21:16.380]There it is.
- [00:21:17.880]And so I think like Aaron kind
- [00:21:19.820]of mentioned, if you click that,
- [00:21:22.160]you can see right now nothing's
- [00:21:24.260]checked.
- [00:21:25.180]So this page is open to the
- [00:21:26.440]public.
- [00:21:27.040]you know if you just wanted to
- [00:21:29.500]restrict it to anyone with a
- [00:21:31.860]login anyone that has a UNL
- [00:21:34.120]login
- [00:21:34.780]you'd check the first box any
- [00:21:37.590]affiliation so anyone with a UNL
- [00:21:40.740]login now it is true that a
- [00:21:43.320]lot of people have UNL logins
- [00:21:45.100]because probably like the the
- [00:21:46.970]guy that stocks the Pepsi vending
- [00:21:49.160]machine needs a key card it
- [00:21:51.140]needs key card access so he has
- [00:21:53.380]a UNL login so if you did want
- [00:21:55.450]to just
- [00:21:56.020]restrict things to like student
- [00:21:57.720]staff faculty you could just
- [00:21:59.240]check those student staff
- [00:22:00.640]faculty boxes
- [00:22:01.480]and that's going to cover you
- [00:22:03.320]know basically quote-unquote
- [00:22:05.350]real users and exclude anyone
- [00:22:07.460]that's in that periphery of
- [00:22:10.140]guest accounts the employees at
- [00:22:13.290]the union food court that sort
- [00:22:16.220]of
- [00:22:16.520]thing volunteers volunteers and
- [00:22:19.060]but you know volunteers there
- [00:22:21.320]are cases just with how
- [00:22:23.080]as probably people know an
- [00:22:25.390]extension with just how the
- [00:22:27.820]stuff works that you have
- [00:22:30.030]people working
- [00:22:31.440]an extension that may just be
- [00:22:33.180]under volunteer so it's
- [00:22:34.620]complicated but the first check
- [00:22:36.590]box would
- [00:22:37.280]you know that's probably going
- [00:22:38.470]down the rabbit hole if we don't
- [00:22:39.660]need to worry about the
- [00:22:40.620]guy that fills the pepsi vending
- [00:22:42.240]machine stealing all of our
- [00:22:43.620]secrets but because we give
- [00:22:45.210]them
- [00:22:45.520]building access anyway like
- [00:22:47.110]watergate income rifle through
- [00:22:48.890]your files in the in your file
- [00:22:50.540]cabinet
- [00:22:50.940]he has key card access to every
- [00:22:52.620]building but so it's really
- [00:22:54.170]just that first check box would
- [00:22:55.930]just
- [00:22:56.320]limit a page to anyone that has
- [00:22:58.750]a login so next slide there it
- [00:23:01.080]is again the note about files
- [00:23:03.540]is included down at the bottom
- [00:23:06.060]next slide once again a
- [00:23:07.960]reminder the editing of
- [00:23:09.980]temporary
- [00:23:10.980]transition pages was disabled a
- [00:23:13.510]month ago so if you need to
- [00:23:15.450]make a change to it you can
- [00:23:17.390]create a
- [00:23:18.180]new builder page and set the
- [00:23:19.950]old page to unpublish.
- [00:23:21.600]And you may need to maintain
- [00:23:24.440]URLs, you know, remove the alias,
- [00:23:29.380]the URL alias from the old
- [00:23:32.960]page and assign it to the new
- [00:23:35.280]one under configuration to
- [00:23:37.620]match the same address.
- [00:23:39.940]And all of the temporary
- [00:23:41.610]transition pages are still
- [00:23:43.540]going to remain published until
- [00:23:45.860]January and then they will all
- [00:23:48.050]be flipped to unpublished. So
- [00:23:50.490]we still have the rest of the
- [00:23:52.720]year
- [00:23:53.160]to take anything that's in a
- [00:23:56.130]temporary transition page that
- [00:23:59.660]needs to be kept and create a
- [00:24:01.550]new builder page for it.
- [00:24:03.440]We've talked about before one
- [00:24:05.970]of the new features was being
- [00:24:08.400]able to tag things like on the
- [00:24:10.830]builder
- [00:24:11.680]pages on the right side just
- [00:24:13.820]tagging and then there's an
- [00:24:15.950]aggregate page at slash tag
- [00:24:18.090]slash tag
- [00:24:18.940]name so you can easily create
- [00:24:21.500]aggregate pages of like content
- [00:24:24.400]there's a new path if you only
- [00:24:26.930]want
- [00:24:27.440]the news the thing at the very
- [00:24:29.420]bottom of the slide if you do
- [00:24:31.310]slash tag slash the name of the
- [00:24:33.360]tag
- [00:24:33.740]slash news then that will be a
- [00:24:35.780]page that only has the news
- [00:24:37.640]items on it rather than
- [00:24:39.260]everything
- [00:24:40.200]block quotes have used the
- [00:24:42.860]block quote bottom button in
- [00:24:45.780]the editor it will have the
- [00:24:48.650]proper
- [00:24:49.240]class on it so it's styled
- [00:24:50.830]correctly now blue sky social
- [00:24:52.750]media outpost is now an option
- [00:24:54.760]where
- [00:24:55.280]social media is specified next
- [00:24:58.760]slide an issue with adding
- [00:25:01.700]anchor ids adding anchor links
- [00:25:05.170]to
- [00:25:05.520]anchor tags in the editor has
- [00:25:07.230]been fixed. I think that's
- [00:25:08.950]actually been fixed. That
- [00:25:10.680]belongs on the
- [00:25:11.540]previous slide. And then we're
- [00:25:13.710]still reviewing Math Jackson's
- [00:25:15.820]scheduling. And then I think,
- [00:25:18.120]yep, custom icons still got to
- [00:25:20.330]get to that. Sorry, Ryan. Then
- [00:25:22.870]the major initiatives is,
- [00:25:24.780]don't have an update today. We're
- [00:25:27.060]going to be talking to some
- [00:25:28.720]folks about CMS tomorrow and
- [00:25:30.620]talking about framework six
- [00:25:32.430]there'll be a much bigger thing
- [00:25:34.380]next month unl access kind of
- [00:25:36.180]occupied
- [00:25:36.860]recent time but the work on six
- [00:25:39.690]is most of the way done so we'll
- [00:25:42.530]have talk about upgrading to
- [00:25:45.350]the new
- [00:25:46.040]version of the theme um next
- [00:25:48.040]month in this meeting likewise
- [00:25:50.310]dribble 11 upgrade that access
- [00:25:52.940]denied
- [00:25:53.560]message that kind of goes along
- [00:25:54.880]to unil access thank you for
- [00:25:56.050]everyone that's reported that
- [00:25:57.480]Sarah and I have been working
- [00:25:59.160]all morning on that. We think
- [00:26:00.940]we're in a good place now. You
- [00:26:02.570]know,
- [00:26:03.020]we had, we didn't want to just
- [00:26:05.310]disable the UNL access module
- [00:26:07.630]entirely because right from the
- [00:26:10.260]jump, there was some use cases
- [00:26:11.710]where it was being implemented
- [00:26:13.170]and then we don't want to open
- [00:26:14.490]those
- [00:26:14.860]pages back up to everybody. But
- [00:26:17.500]the rollout of the UNL access
- [00:26:19.760]module resulted in some pages
- [00:26:22.120]here
- [00:26:22.560]and they're showing access to
- [00:26:23.930]nine messages. And like I said,
- [00:26:25.660]we've been working on it. Sarah
- [00:26:27.340]and
- [00:26:27.540]I were working on it all
- [00:26:28.600]morning and we think we're in a
- [00:26:30.000]good spot now. We have some
- [00:26:31.330]monitoring
- [00:26:32.020]set up to try to catch any
- [00:26:34.060]instances where things go awry
- [00:26:36.700]in that regard. And then we can
- [00:26:39.450]go down
- [00:26:40.180]the path of analyzing what
- [00:26:41.890]happened, but we think we're in
- [00:26:43.970]a much better place. So if you
- [00:26:45.980]see any
- [00:26:46.640]access to nine messages on on
- [00:26:48.600]pages that shouldn't be getting
- [00:26:50.820]them let me know hopefully i
- [00:26:52.710]see it
- [00:26:53.220]first and can analyze it but we
- [00:26:55.280]think we're in a good place on
- [00:26:57.230]that now so thanks everyone for
- [00:26:59.480]your patience and thanks for
- [00:27:01.960]the reports on that and then
- [00:27:04.340]one more small thing um is
- [00:27:06.520]being able to
- [00:27:07.760]vertically align components so
- [00:27:09.670]if you have a great if you have
- [00:27:11.350]a section in layout builder
- [00:27:12.980]with
- [00:27:13.340]columns rather than everything
- [00:27:16.460]being at the top being able to
- [00:27:19.220]like you know have the photo
- [00:27:21.860]next
- [00:27:22.420]to text centered not everything
- [00:27:25.140]bumping up against the top
- [00:27:27.360]having vertical alignment
- [00:27:29.660]vertically in
- [00:27:30.960]the center is in progress too
- [00:27:34.350]and oh i think that one's hung
- [00:27:37.740]out there a long time that may
- [00:27:41.140]be
- [00:27:41.540]partially fixed but video if if
- [00:27:44.590]uh if the if like nebraska
- [00:27:47.030]today they led the story with a
- [00:27:49.990]video
- [00:27:50.700]the thumbnail might not be
- [00:27:51.970]getting imported
- [00:27:52.900]and the second one's sarin's
- [00:27:56.320]world and it's probably
- [00:27:59.170]complicated but i know she has
- [00:28:02.760]it
- [00:28:03.160]under control i think there's
- [00:28:05.500]been some fixes for that but um
- [00:28:07.860]it looks like the major fix we
- [00:28:10.200]you Drupal 11. And a couple
- [00:28:12.480]small things. I think that the
- [00:28:14.730]block layout for developers is
- [00:28:16.700]coming,
- [00:28:17.340]the SAP, but ongoing web audit
- [00:28:19.770]errors, and thanks for the
- [00:28:21.910]reports on those. But
- [00:28:23.860]lots of things continue. I
- [00:28:25.960]think that's all I got. Oh,
- [00:28:28.120]once again, on the WDN site,
- [00:28:30.460]there is the link to all these
- [00:28:31.780]notes and the roadmap. And
- [00:28:33.090]thanks again,
- [00:28:33.880]And Saren, shout out to her for
- [00:28:35.330]keeping that updated.
- [00:28:36.580]And next slide.
- [00:28:40.740]Look at that.
- [00:28:42.640]There's emojis floating across
- [00:28:44.530]the screen.
- [00:28:45.400]Maybe I'm the only one that
- [00:28:46.870]sees that.
- [00:28:47.680]I'm not seeing them.
- [00:28:49.060]Oh, Saren like gave me a happy
- [00:28:51.860]emoji and it floated across my
- [00:28:54.680]screen.
- [00:28:55.800]Maybe only I saw that.
- [00:28:57.160]And then once again, so I think
- [00:29:00.160]this is going to be next week.
- [00:29:03.880]is the once a month errands, uh,
- [00:29:07.330]get started session for CMS.
- [00:29:09.610]And it's helpful for people
- [00:29:11.740]to RSVP for that. So if you
- [00:29:13.010]have anyone in your department,
- [00:29:14.580]you're referring this to,
- [00:29:15.980]it's on the CMS site, cms.unl.edu.
- [00:29:19.070]And if you can fill out the RSVP
- [00:29:21.220]form,
- [00:29:21.960]that will help us get a head
- [00:29:24.310]count. We've only got two
- [00:29:26.770]signed up as of now, last,
- [00:29:29.520]Last month we only had one and
- [00:29:31.840]we messaged them and they ended
- [00:29:34.360]up just watching a video.
- [00:29:36.660]So, yeah.
- [00:29:38.840]Next up, we got the public
- [00:29:42.900]information apps.
- [00:29:46.260]I've been working on updating
- [00:29:50.100]things to six.
- [00:29:53.280]So I got the web accessibility
- [00:29:55.560]evaluator updated to six,
- [00:29:57.740]and I'll have more news coming
- [00:29:59.490]up at some point in the future.
- [00:30:01.460]And we got maps and events are
- [00:30:04.420]pretty much there.
- [00:30:06.700]Just got to wait for either the
- [00:30:08.210]next version of the framework
- [00:30:09.730]to get deployed
- [00:30:10.500]to fix some bugs or on events.
- [00:30:12.780]We got some server stuff we got
- [00:30:14.200]to do to get that working.
- [00:30:15.580]And then we'll update apps as
- [00:30:18.820]we go.
- [00:30:20.040]So next month we'll have more
- [00:30:22.840]apps in six and yeah, pretty
- [00:30:25.640]good.
- [00:30:26.520]Sounds good.
- [00:30:28.920]Moving right along to framework
- [00:30:31.300]updates.
- [00:30:32.220]Speaking of framework updates
- [00:30:34.270]and bug fixes, we have a
- [00:30:36.260]framework update that's going
- [00:30:39.720]to be deployed that has added
- [00:30:42.910]parallax as like parallax
- [00:30:45.820]utilities,
- [00:30:48.280]which we will work on getting
- [00:30:50.790]into the CMS as well.
- [00:30:52.800]So being able to indicate
- [00:30:56.790]elements to have a native CSS-based
- [00:31:02.490]parallax effect,
- [00:31:05.560]along with background patterns
- [00:31:09.230]and most likely use cases is
- [00:31:12.360]photos,
- [00:31:14.060]having those move independently
- [00:31:16.660]at a different rate of the main
- [00:31:18.970]content.
- [00:31:19.960]Adding view transitions.
- [00:31:23.020]Those were scheduled for 6.0,
- [00:31:27.060]but didn't quite get enabled
- [00:31:31.470]until this release.
- [00:31:34.420]And I think that Tommy's
- [00:31:35.970]already playing around with
- [00:31:37.850]some view transitions for some
- [00:31:39.820]of the apps, the public info
- [00:31:41.450]apps.
- [00:31:42.240]So those will be fun to explore
- [00:31:45.540]and maybe get those kind of
- [00:31:48.440]built out for the regular
- [00:31:51.220]framework, maybe some CMS items.
- [00:31:55.480]Adding ClipPath mix-ins and
- [00:31:58.750]utilities for brand stripes.
- [00:32:02.540]Like if you know like currently
- [00:32:05.720]in 5.3, the little stripe at
- [00:32:09.360]the top of the footer and the
- [00:32:12.180]little stripe that is in some
- [00:32:15.100]of the basic default hero.
- [00:32:18.200]And then the stripe that is
- [00:32:20.630]used for the frame quad, adding
- [00:32:23.620]that is something that can be
- [00:32:26.280]used for backgrounds along with
- [00:32:29.270]shifts.
- [00:32:30.840]Shifts being like background
- [00:32:32.840]colors that can like break the
- [00:32:34.840]plane, where you might have
- [00:32:36.760]like an element that kind of
- [00:32:38.590]hangs over the bottom of a
- [00:32:40.280]section or the top of a section.
- [00:32:42.560]So we'll look at getting those
- [00:32:45.320]as options that we could have
- [00:32:47.980]in the CMS as well, like
- [00:32:50.170]different like background
- [00:32:52.720]options.
- [00:32:54.880]And then there was the font
- [00:32:56.860]weight was set to bold by
- [00:32:58.660]default, and it should have
- [00:33:00.120]been semi bold. So I've got
- [00:33:01.410]that fixed, along with other
- [00:33:03.240]bug fixes.
- [00:33:04.040]And yeah, so I have the
- [00:33:07.180]framework roadmap filled out. I've
- [00:33:12.530]added some things and we'll
- [00:33:16.320]continue to add things.
- [00:33:20.840]So if you go there, there's now
- [00:33:23.850]some historical items on the
- [00:33:26.630]roadmap, 60, 601, 602, but I've
- [00:33:31.450]got 61 in there and I'll start
- [00:33:34.090]breaking it out into 603 and 604
- [00:33:37.840]and so on and getting those
- [00:33:40.020]kind of mapped out.
- [00:33:43.280]And as always, if you have
- [00:33:45.480]feature requests or things that
- [00:33:48.180]you see that like bug fixes,
- [00:33:50.580]you can always file an issue in
- [00:33:53.080]GitHub or message one of us in
- [00:33:55.480]framework or the general
- [00:33:57.580]channels in Slack.
- [00:33:59.460]Look at that. 236. Successes,
- [00:34:04.480]notables, anything to share.
- [00:34:06.860]We've already shared the
- [00:34:09.170]biggest success, which is ASAM's
- [00:34:12.360]100% gold star.
- [00:34:14.700]But if anyone has anything that
- [00:34:17.420]doesn't have to quite match
- [00:34:19.820]that level,
- [00:34:21.020]but if you have anything that
- [00:34:22.860]you want to share with us, now's
- [00:34:24.930]the time.
- [00:34:25.780]Nothing?
- [00:34:36.860]All right. Well, think of
- [00:34:38.870]something for next time. There's
- [00:34:41.690]always next month.
- [00:34:43.640]Open forum. If you have
- [00:34:46.580]anything that you need from
- [00:34:49.790]framework or apps. Oh, we do
- [00:34:53.440]have a question.
- [00:34:55.780]This may have been asked about
- [00:34:57.720]last time. Is there a
- [00:34:59.180]possibility of getting a list
- [00:35:01.100]of all CMS sites
- [00:35:02.260]that are referring to or
- [00:35:03.610]linking to a SharePoint
- [00:35:04.960]document in the UNL.edu tenant?
- [00:35:07.860]No.
- [00:35:16.620]No, we just don't have a good
- [00:35:23.570]way to search all of our sites
- [00:35:30.660]and dig into all the nooks and
- [00:35:33.300]crannies for a texturing.
- [00:35:36.000]And Shay followed up a web
- [00:35:41.470]audit, possibly.
- [00:35:46.220]But that's not going to go
- [00:35:48.760]across all sites looking for
- [00:35:51.730]one particular match.
- [00:35:54.300]I assume what he's asking for
- [00:35:56.630]is with the future ready
- [00:35:58.580]project,
- [00:36:00.660]UNL SharePoint will be going
- [00:36:02.470]away. So you could potentially
- [00:36:04.600]look for that U of Nebraska
- [00:36:06.260]dash
- [00:36:06.660]Lincoln prefix. Anything after
- [00:36:08.720]that will fail to work after
- [00:36:10.330]the tenant goes away here at
- [00:36:11.950]the end
- [00:36:12.480]of the year. I may be reading
- [00:36:14.080]into what Brian's asking. So
- [00:36:15.760]apologies if I'm off base, but
- [00:36:17.430]I'm
- [00:36:17.720]guessing he's saying those
- [00:36:18.910]links will cease to exist here
- [00:36:20.210]after the end of the year.
- [00:36:21.480]Is that enabled? Oh, I may have
- [00:36:23.620]been confused. I thought we
- [00:36:25.540]were looking for a specific,
- [00:36:28.340]like to one specific file for
- [00:36:30.910]all links.
- [00:36:32.120]Do we have that enabled, Tommy,
- [00:36:33.650]right now?
- [00:36:34.280]It should be.
- [00:36:36.540]I think it's important that we
- [00:36:38.970]match user expectations,
- [00:36:41.300]and I feel like users already
- [00:36:42.880]expect SharePoint to not work.
- [00:36:44.800]So I feel like we're in the
- [00:36:46.100]clear.
- [00:36:46.680]No, that's a good point.
- [00:36:53.320]I guess the question we might
- [00:36:55.240]have to pull up is,
- [00:36:56.640]Are we just searching for
- [00:36:58.420]anything SharePoint versus
- [00:37:00.460]trying to just flag the U of
- [00:37:02.320]Lincoln ones that will go away?
- [00:37:04.820]I think we should just flag the
- [00:37:10.360]ones that are going away.
- [00:37:15.520]There's really no need to flag
- [00:37:18.160]the others.
- [00:37:19.480]It should be enabled.
- [00:37:26.640]So a web audit should throw a
- [00:37:29.630]notice if you find a SharePoint
- [00:37:33.000]link.
- [00:37:33.960]Will somebody really do that?
- [00:37:46.160]I mean, they're real long.
- [00:37:47.280]I would have guessed that if
- [00:37:48.370]they were going to do that,
- [00:37:49.560]they would have put it behind a
- [00:37:50.850]Go URL.
- [00:37:54.760]Does WebAdder also report on
- [00:37:57.890]the URL shorteners that are
- [00:38:00.890]pointing to SharePoint?
- [00:38:04.000]It does not.
- [00:38:06.100]Well, that might be another
- [00:38:07.890]report to run would be any Go
- [00:38:09.600]URL that's pointing to a UNL
- [00:38:11.310]SharePoint
- [00:38:12.160]as opposed to a University of
- [00:38:13.750]Nebraska SharePoint after some
- [00:38:15.530]time.
- [00:38:16.060]And that should be easier.
- [00:38:19.240]Those are inventory already.
- [00:38:20.520]Yeah, the user can do that.
- [00:38:23.180]Let's hope that they did that.
- [00:38:24.620]Yeah, because if you have any
- [00:38:31.250]Go URLs that go to SharePoint,
- [00:38:38.240]you can just go on the website
- [00:38:40.650]and search on the Go URL
- [00:38:42.560]website
- [00:38:43.340]and search your URLs for
- [00:38:44.630]anything that says SharePoint
- [00:38:46.310]in it.
- [00:38:53.180]I think the struggle is not one
- [00:38:56.370]or two sites, just the sheer
- [00:38:59.410]volume. And maybe that's more
- [00:39:02.860]of some of our larger areas
- [00:39:05.660]where we're talking hundreds
- [00:39:08.860]upon hundreds of sites and
- [00:39:11.670]links.
- [00:39:14.220]Some of which may have been
- [00:39:15.590]handed down from others as go
- [00:39:17.090]URLs.
- [00:39:17.600]There's just, I'm just trying
- [00:39:19.940]to think across the board here
- [00:39:22.190]as we prepare for this fall
- [00:39:24.170]with all those interactions.
- [00:39:26.740]And then obviously, as Shay
- [00:39:29.440]mentioned, post-December when
- [00:39:32.590]the UNL tenant starts getting
- [00:39:35.420]retired or gets retired.
- [00:39:44.220]All right. Any other items? I
- [00:39:56.540]had a question for Eric. I am
- [00:40:07.540]making views for
- [00:40:14.220]That pulls in the person
- [00:40:15.850]content type that has a
- [00:40:17.410]specific affiliation.
- [00:40:19.280]That way I can make like
- [00:40:20.660]faculty, staff, people, pages
- [00:40:22.750]for like specific departments.
- [00:40:24.960]But I can't get it to sort
- [00:40:26.960]based off of last name because
- [00:40:29.460]there's just the name field.
- [00:40:32.120]So any ideas on how I can get
- [00:40:35.120]it to sort by last name?
- [00:40:38.080]No.
- [00:40:44.220]that's a good one um
- [00:40:48.220]it looks like i could make it
- [00:40:51.770]sort based off of the alt tag
- [00:40:55.310]of the photo so i thought i
- [00:40:58.570]could
- [00:40:59.440]maybe just change the alt tag
- [00:41:01.120]to be their last name but i can't
- [00:41:02.940]change the alt tag on a photo
- [00:41:05.680]that's on the person content
- [00:41:08.960]type yeah
- [00:41:10.100]I think we don't have an answer.
- [00:41:14.180]But use it to sort of.
- [00:41:18.020]Well, that's an if you're doing
- [00:41:19.680]a content type, not the person
- [00:41:21.300]content type.
- [00:41:22.260]You can't add a field to.
- [00:41:23.300]I think we.
- [00:41:25.360]I think we could add something
- [00:41:27.790]where we auto populate a kind
- [00:41:30.120]of a hidden field with that.
- [00:41:39.560]Send me an email, Jamie.
- [00:41:40.900]Okay, will do.
- [00:41:42.860]And let me think about it a
- [00:41:44.370]little bit.
- [00:41:45.280]I got to show this slide.
- [00:42:00.320]All right.
- [00:42:07.240]Anyone have any other items
- [00:42:09.480]that they might need help with?
- [00:42:12.240]TXG will stick around and do
- [00:42:15.780]our best to help.
- [00:42:18.300]- I had a question about
- [00:42:26.250]something that came up
- [00:42:34.120]just this afternoon on the food
- [00:42:36.330]website.
- [00:42:37.220]Let me share.
- [00:42:41.340]So this is on a staging site.
- [00:42:58.940]These are on their food
- [00:43:00.650]calendar.
- [00:43:01.680]they have these national food
- [00:43:03.550]days, weeks, and months, and
- [00:43:05.620]they're all separated.
- [00:43:07.280]And on the website now, it's
- [00:43:10.540]just displaying all of them in
- [00:43:13.930]each group.
- [00:43:15.620]So I looked at the view, and it's
- [00:43:18.750]got this, like, broken slash
- [00:43:21.770]missing handler thing.
- [00:43:24.440]I wasn't sure what that was.
- [00:43:31.140]Well, what does that show on
- [00:43:33.290]the staging one?
- [00:43:34.740]It seems to be this like event
- [00:43:38.510]type equals month.
- [00:43:41.400]And is there any possible, you
- [00:43:44.800]probably just have to recreate
- [00:43:48.210]that.
- [00:43:49.220]Is there any possibility you
- [00:43:51.250]did something like deleted that
- [00:43:53.550]field and re-added it or
- [00:43:55.220]something?
- [00:44:01.140]I am aware of. I tried on a new
- [00:44:07.860]view just to do what you're
- [00:44:13.760]saying. And when I search
- [00:44:20.040]for that field. It wasn't there
- [00:44:32.000]before. What's that what's that
- [00:44:44.380]view called?
- [00:44:50.020]that view is called what the
- [00:44:52.030]the original one it's called
- [00:44:54.130]national food days
- [00:44:55.640]your national food months
- [00:45:00.000]national food days yeah usually
- [00:45:05.300]well i'm
- [00:45:06.800]yeah yeah well i'm seeing it
- [00:45:11.280]again after a cash clear oh
- [00:45:15.490]yeah we gotta try that we gotta
- [00:45:18.600]get
- [00:45:19.000]dribble up to 11 and hopefully
- [00:45:21.620]just things are better with
- [00:45:23.690]some of this you know that
- [00:45:25.660]sort of thing where you get the
- [00:45:27.180]broken mistling handler boy i
- [00:45:28.700]don't know
- [00:45:29.340]wow all right i'm glad it was
- [00:45:36.320]so so simple
- [00:45:39.420]i should have heard that first
- [00:45:42.120]well obviously that shouldn't
- [00:45:44.930]have happened that shouldn't
- [00:45:47.740]necessary we got to get updated
- [00:45:49.070]to the latest version of Drupal
- [00:45:50.390]and hopefully some of the
- [00:45:51.580]things that like that are remedied
- [00:45:53.920]otherwise we're going to have
- [00:45:55.940]to make the last slide at WDN
- [00:45:57.900]when in doubt clear your cache
- [00:46:00.290]well
- [00:46:00.700]thank you
- [00:46:16.940]I've got a question. Aaron, we've
- [00:46:19.650]talked prior and one of the
- [00:46:21.560]things that we had talked in
- [00:46:23.580]casual conversation is maybe
- [00:46:25.790]sometime we could meet about
- [00:46:27.890]web audits and some questions
- [00:46:30.090]we have on just some items that
- [00:46:32.270]we're just not quite sure how
- [00:46:34.360]to fix those failures. Is that
- [00:46:37.160]something that we might give a
- [00:46:39.420]stab just to learn how to get
- [00:46:41.490]those scores up?
- [00:46:44.060]Sure. I, you know, I, I kind of
- [00:46:46.700]wonder if, because CMS number
- [00:46:49.080]of people taking CMS training
- [00:46:51.370]at this point is just so like
- [00:46:53.460]down. I don't know. I guess we
- [00:46:56.030]should probably continue it to
- [00:46:58.420]the end of the year, but I feel
- [00:47:00.690]like having a web audit review
- [00:47:02.980]session would probably not be
- [00:47:05.280]that bad just to help people
- [00:47:07.390]understand notices versus fails.
- [00:47:10.700]and fix some of the common
- [00:47:12.530]issues, especially now that we've
- [00:47:15.600]got most, not all, but most of
- [00:47:18.310]the CMS issues cleaned up.
- [00:47:20.900]So I don't have anything on the
- [00:47:23.320]books to answer your question,
- [00:47:25.960]but it's definitely something
- [00:47:28.490]that I could set up maybe in
- [00:47:30.620]like September.
- [00:47:32.780]that'd be great we have most of
- [00:47:35.190]our scores are um above 80 that
- [00:47:37.990]was our goal and we've got a
- [00:47:40.110]few
- [00:47:40.500]hundreds and stuff and there's
- [00:47:42.060]just a few that we just can't
- [00:47:43.440]get over that finish line to
- [00:47:44.820]because
- [00:47:45.260]there's just something we just
- [00:47:46.450]keep looping around so we're
- [00:47:47.550]like oh maybe we could learn a
- [00:47:48.640]little
- [00:47:49.040]something so when uh when isaac
- [00:47:50.600]was uh making hooting and hollering
- [00:47:52.400]you should have you should
- [00:47:53.740]have noted that you have some
- [00:47:55.950]hundreds too oh well i don't
- [00:47:58.050]want to brag because we have a
- [00:48:00.260]lot
- [00:48:00.640]that aren't we only have like
- [00:48:02.480]200 100s and then we have a
- [00:48:05.060]dozen that are not so yeah keep
- [00:48:06.990]it real
- [00:48:07.660]um no that's probably a good
- [00:48:10.000]idea i you know if you want to
- [00:48:12.350]send me some of the issues you're
- [00:48:15.200]seeing that might help me build
- [00:48:17.540]sort of a something to go over
- [00:48:19.700]because i'm always you
- [00:48:21.460]know like when i built the web
- [00:48:23.140]form training that was pretty
- [00:48:24.890]easy but if you have stuff that
- [00:48:26.640]you're
- [00:48:27.100]seeing. I imagine those are
- [00:48:28.880]things that other people might
- [00:48:30.750]have questions about. And yeah,
- [00:48:32.980]I don't know, maybe we could
- [00:48:34.440]just tag it on to next month's
- [00:48:35.890]WDN at the end or something. So
- [00:48:37.640]or do something separate about
- [00:48:39.620]I yeah, if you send me some of
- [00:48:41.450]the stuff that you're kind of
- [00:48:43.380]struggling with, I can take a
- [00:48:45.390]look at those and try to maybe
- [00:48:47.310]put together something that's
- [00:48:49.400]either
- [00:48:50.020]at the end of the WDN meeting
- [00:48:51.450]or just a separate thing that
- [00:48:52.940]people could sign up for.
- [00:48:54.800]And what would be helpful
- [00:48:56.380]sending links to like just the
- [00:48:58.260]site and then if you could just
- [00:49:00.180]yeah, if you could just send me
- [00:49:02.080]like in Slack, if you could
- [00:49:03.750]just say, here's our web report.
- [00:49:06.290]The ones I'm having issues with
- [00:49:08.020]are this page, this page, you
- [00:49:09.760]know, or just send me a link to
- [00:49:11.430]the page reports and say, I don't
- [00:49:13.310]quite understand, you know,
- [00:49:15.070]what what this is here.
- [00:49:16.840]And I can look through and if I
- [00:49:18.410]have questions for you, I can
- [00:49:20.050]either answer you directly or
- [00:49:21.690]just kind of build them into
- [00:49:23.190]something that I can have like
- [00:49:24.820]a larger discussion about.
- [00:49:26.640]That would be perfect. Awesome.
- [00:49:28.190]Thank you so much.
- [00:49:29.080]Yep.
- [00:49:29.640]All right, we're down to 12.
- [00:49:36.770]Any further questions?
- [00:49:46.840]No. All right. Thank you
- [00:49:48.910]everybody for joining us today.
- [00:49:51.500]We will see you next month.
- [00:49:54.610]School will be in session.
- [00:49:57.190]Thanks for joining us. Later.
