- [00:00:00.000]Okay, everybody.
- [00:00:29.460]It's now 11 a.m.
- [00:00:30.620]We'll get ready to start with
- [00:00:31.740]our second session.
- [00:00:32.920]I want to thank David for the
- [00:00:34.300]first session, kind of laying
- [00:00:35.660]the foundation of some of the
- [00:00:37.420]data and stats that we have
- [00:00:39.120]here at the state of Nebraska
- [00:00:40.900]and how it transcends over a
- [00:00:42.640]few
- [00:00:43.000]states.
- [00:00:43.360]And at this point, we want to
- [00:00:44.970]transition and pivot over to
- [00:00:45.890]some of the education.
- [00:00:47.100]And our next speaker comes from
- [00:00:49.040]us from Epic Solutions.
- [00:00:50.740]Teresa Foray is...
- [00:00:53.380]Where did my word doc go?
- [00:00:57.740]Sorry, Teresa.
- [00:00:59.460]It serves as the Senior Vice
- [00:01:01.010]President for North American at
- [00:01:02.850]Epic Global Solution, where
- [00:01:04.720]she leads gambling harm
- [00:01:06.340]prevention strategies across
- [00:01:08.330]the United States and Canada,
- [00:01:10.810]drawing
- [00:01:11.000]on her experience as a former
- [00:01:12.350]regulator with the
- [00:01:13.260]Massachusetts Gaming Commission
- [00:01:15.080]and the
- [00:01:15.320]head of the Responsible Gaming
- [00:01:17.000]for Online Sportsbooks and Casinos.
- [00:01:19.180]Her session features Know Your
- [00:01:21.150]Play, a free digital platform
- [00:01:23.060]funded by the Responsible
- [00:01:24.740]Online Gaming Association, ROGA,
- [00:01:26.870]and developed by Epic Cambridge
- [00:01:28.800]Behavioral
- [00:01:29.400]Health and the Responsible
- [00:01:30.730]Gaming Council.
- [00:01:31.720]This session will focus on the
- [00:01:33.210]University Integration Toolkit
- [00:01:35.250]designed to help campuses
- [00:01:36.300]educate students and staff on
- [00:01:37.660]gambling harm, mental health,
- [00:01:39.180]and informed decision making.
- [00:01:40.760]So, Teresa, I'll turn it over
- [00:01:42.480]to you.
- [00:01:43.060]And thank you again for being
- [00:01:44.110]here.
- [00:01:44.460]Sure.
- [00:01:45.300]Thanks, John.
- [00:01:45.940]Good morning and good afternoon,
- [00:01:47.440]everyone.
- [00:01:48.040]Depending on where you are
- [00:01:49.910]logging in from, very happy to
- [00:01:52.130]be here and especially happy
- [00:01:54.260]to go after David.
- [00:01:55.920]It's really cool to see state
- [00:01:57.980]and localized.
- [00:01:59.400]metrics, which are completely
- [00:02:01.170]consistent with what we see on
- [00:02:02.800]a global scale.
- [00:02:03.860]So, there's always a bit of
- [00:02:05.830]comfort in seeing those
- [00:02:07.560]consistent trends and patterns
- [00:02:09.910]across
- [00:02:10.540]behavior and the impacts of
- [00:02:12.300]legalized and potentially unregulated
- [00:02:14.860]gambling as well.
- [00:02:16.220]Another thank you to David for
- [00:02:18.630]segwaying nicely into the
- [00:02:20.750]importance of education.
- [00:02:23.120]That is very much what we do at
- [00:02:24.920]Epic Global Solutions.
- [00:02:26.600]So, to provide you with a bit
- [00:02:28.490]of detail.
- [00:02:29.340]Around who we are as an
- [00:02:30.530]organization, we were formed in
- [00:02:34.500]2013.
- [00:02:36.080]We're globally headquartered in
- [00:02:37.960]the UK, where it could be
- [00:02:39.360]argued that the UK is about a
- [00:02:40.960]decade ahead of where the
- [00:02:42.500]United States and North America
- [00:02:44.540]more broadly is for the legalization
- [00:02:46.880]of sports wagering,
- [00:02:48.090]particularly within the online
- [00:02:49.950]space.
- [00:02:50.520]As such, they have more
- [00:02:52.360]experience having seen
- [00:02:54.230]firsthand the negative societal
- [00:02:56.850]impacts
- [00:02:57.580]of legalized and unregulated
- [00:02:58.580]gambling.
- [00:02:59.080]And in many times unchecked
- [00:03:01.300]operations.
- [00:03:02.540]So, it speaks to the importance
- [00:03:04.840]of prevention, education is the
- [00:03:07.030]figurative kind of vaccine
- [00:03:09.020]that we have to present,
- [00:03:10.700]prevent these issues from
- [00:03:12.290]occurring.
- [00:03:13.100]Also worth noting that we are a
- [00:03:16.600]global, small but mighty global
- [00:03:19.860]team of about 50 with half
- [00:03:21.800]of our staff representing
- [00:03:23.920]individuals who have lived
- [00:03:26.150]experience of gambling harm.
- [00:03:28.820]It's not only gambling
- [00:03:30.730]addiction, but also affected
- [00:03:33.350]others and supporters.
- [00:03:35.620]Individuals who have lived with
- [00:03:37.000]loved ones or people who are
- [00:03:38.170]very close to them who have
- [00:03:39.380]experienced a gambling
- [00:03:40.670]addiction and have been
- [00:03:42.000]negatively impacted by it, as
- [00:03:43.650]well as
- [00:03:44.080]individuals who have been
- [00:03:45.470]involved throughout their
- [00:03:46.940]athletic careers, both intercollegiate
- [00:03:49.280]and professionally having dealt
- [00:03:52.360]with integrity issues as well,
- [00:03:54.790]certainly harassment as well,
- [00:03:57.560]which David also mentioned.
- [00:03:58.560]So, that's another really
- [00:04:00.080]important area that we're
- [00:04:01.470]considering.
- [00:04:02.420]But the reason why I'm here
- [00:04:04.400]today to speak with you all is
- [00:04:06.590]to provide information around
- [00:04:08.920]Know Your Play.
- [00:04:09.920]So, Know Your Play is a free
- [00:04:12.290]online, we call it a platform,
- [00:04:14.760]but really it's just a website
- [00:04:17.440]and it's designed to take
- [00:04:19.410]really critical information and
- [00:04:21.700]package it up for students,
- [00:04:24.100]college students specifically
- [00:04:26.300]across the United States.
- [00:04:28.300]So, what ROGA is a funder, I'll
- [00:04:31.150]get into a bit more information
- [00:04:33.930]in detail around who
- [00:04:35.660]they are as an organization,
- [00:04:37.960]but ROGA recognize that there
- [00:04:40.520]is a need on a national level
- [00:04:43.230]for
- [00:04:43.580]evidence-based, expert-designed
- [00:04:46.810]education and awareness
- [00:04:49.000]specific to three main areas,
- [00:04:51.580]mental health and well-being,
- [00:04:53.770]financial literacy, and
- [00:04:55.060]responsible gaming.
- [00:04:56.340]So, Know Your Play is a free
- [00:04:56.340]online, we call it a platform,
- [00:04:56.340]but really it's just a website
- [00:04:56.400]The thinking was that, you know,
- [00:04:56.400]if you're a professional gamer,
- [00:04:56.410]you're going to have to
- [00:04:56.480]be a professional gamer, you're
- [00:04:56.490]going to have to be a
- [00:04:56.490]professional gamer, you're
- [00:04:56.500]going to have to be a
- [00:04:56.580]professional gamer, you're
- [00:04:56.590]going to have to be a
- [00:04:56.600]professional gamer, you're
- [00:04:56.600]going to have to be a
- [00:04:56.660]professional
- [00:04:56.720]gamer, you're going to have to
- [00:04:56.720]be a professional gamer, you're
- [00:04:56.720]going to have to be a
- [00:04:56.720]professional gamer.
- [00:04:56.760]The thinking was that if we
- [00:04:58.960]were to try and tackle this
- [00:05:01.160]problem just with a solution
- [00:05:04.400]focused
- [00:05:04.920]solely on responsible gaming,
- [00:05:07.290]that that would deter potential
- [00:05:09.660]users of Know Your Play because
- [00:05:12.000]you have individuals who may
- [00:05:13.850]not gamble themselves and they
- [00:05:15.900]say, eh, I don't need this
- [00:05:17.500]information.
- [00:05:18.000]In fact, this information is
- [00:05:19.880]incredibly relevant for
- [00:05:21.460]everyone regardless of whether
- [00:05:23.480]or not they
- [00:05:24.260]choose to gamble themselves
- [00:05:25.100]just because they're a
- [00:05:26.000]professional gamer.
- [00:05:26.480]So, Know Your Play is a free
- [00:05:26.540]online, we call it a platform,
- [00:05:26.580]but really it's just a website
- [00:05:26.740]of the popularity it is.
- [00:05:28.200]So, the expectation is that
- [00:05:30.640]there will be an increasing
- [00:05:32.200]number of people who are
- [00:05:33.550]experiencing
- [00:05:34.460]harms or an increasing number
- [00:05:36.280]of people who at least know
- [00:05:37.880]others who are engaging with
- [00:05:39.720]these products.
- [00:05:40.400]So, it's really important to
- [00:05:42.650]remain aware, not only to
- [00:05:44.630]support individuals who may be
- [00:05:47.040]struggling, but also to help
- [00:05:48.800]reduce the stigma, which we
- [00:05:50.480]know is so strongly carried
- [00:05:52.210]with
- [00:05:52.460]gambling addiction.
- [00:05:53.420]Again, David's metrics.
- [00:05:56.720]And stats really pointed to
- [00:05:57.880]that beautifully.
- [00:05:58.780]I was particularly struck by
- [00:06:00.770]the age of initial engagement
- [00:06:02.880]with gambling products and then
- [00:06:05.140]the time that those individuals
- [00:06:07.720]come forward to actually get
- [00:06:09.780]support if they do, in fact,
- [00:06:12.140]develop a harmful relationship
- [00:06:13.680]with gambling.
- [00:06:14.560]So, who are the responsible
- [00:06:17.310]online gaming association is?
- [00:06:20.580]They are a trade association.
- [00:06:21.960]So, they are made up of the
- [00:06:23.740]major online sportsbooks and
- [00:06:25.780]casinos.
- [00:06:26.700]So, in the United States, I
- [00:06:28.330]believe there are nine members
- [00:06:30.100]in total currently.
- [00:06:31.520]You know, DraftKings, FanDuel,
- [00:06:34.520]BetMGM, there's a host of them.
- [00:06:37.440]You can visit the website and
- [00:06:38.880]check them out.
- [00:06:39.800]But they came together and they
- [00:06:41.290]essentially said, our gambling
- [00:06:43.600]products are so unique
- [00:06:45.880]because they are offered within
- [00:06:48.180]the online and mobile space
- [00:06:50.130]that we need to do things
- [00:06:51.940]a little differently if we're
- [00:06:53.590]going to have the positive
- [00:06:55.040]impact.
- [00:06:56.680]So, you know, they're doing a
- [00:06:57.920]lot of work in prevention
- [00:06:59.090]efforts within the society in
- [00:07:00.200]which we operate.
- [00:07:01.260]So, ROGA approached Epic and,
- [00:07:03.480]you know, they said, hey, we
- [00:07:05.610]see that you're doing this
- [00:07:07.620]wonderful
- [00:07:08.000]work already in the university
- [00:07:09.830]space.
- [00:07:10.420]They were referring to the work
- [00:07:12.760]that we do with the NCAA in
- [00:07:14.650]delivering gambling harm
- [00:07:16.620]awareness education to student
- [00:07:18.180]athletes and athletic
- [00:07:19.270]department staff.
- [00:07:20.380]And they kind of said, but we
- [00:07:21.740]want to go bigger than that.
- [00:07:23.260]You know, this is a rapidly
- [00:07:24.870]evolving and growing area.
- [00:07:26.660]It doesn't make sense to let
- [00:07:28.830]that grow in essence in an
- [00:07:30.830]unchecked way without counterbalancing
- [00:07:33.660]it with important prevention
- [00:07:35.050]and educational efforts.
- [00:07:36.440]So we were brought in as well
- [00:07:38.430]as the Responsible Gaming
- [00:07:40.420]Council based out of Toronto,
- [00:07:42.660]which
- [00:07:42.960]is a fabulous organization.
- [00:07:44.160]If anyone is unfamiliar with
- [00:07:45.790]them, I highly recommend
- [00:07:47.270]checking out the great work
- [00:07:48.710]that
- [00:07:49.040]they do in Canada and then also
- [00:07:50.660]KindBridge Behavioral Health.
- [00:07:52.600]So another fabulous
- [00:07:54.070]organization.
- [00:07:55.420]They're an online.
- [00:07:56.640]They're an online telehealth
- [00:07:58.580]and therapy service provider
- [00:08:00.540]with specialty within gambling
- [00:08:03.380]addiction
- [00:08:03.920]treatment.
- [00:08:04.560]They have a whole host of other
- [00:08:06.560]fabulous programs targeting the
- [00:08:08.800]military, for example, and
- [00:08:10.940]other
- [00:08:11.140]key populations because they do
- [00:08:13.790]recognize that more work needs
- [00:08:16.340]to be done in this space
- [00:08:18.320]to scale alongside the
- [00:08:19.980]increasing popularity of
- [00:08:21.910]gambling.
- [00:08:22.900]I also want to flag the KindBridge
- [00:08:25.100]Research Institute.
- [00:08:26.620]KindBridge Research Institute,
- [00:08:28.290]which is a part of kind of like
- [00:08:29.650]a branch of KindBridge Behavioral
- [00:08:31.400]Health.
- [00:08:32.400]They also do really fabulous
- [00:08:33.140]work.
- [00:08:33.400]So for anyone who is interested
- [00:08:36.150]in getting some really unique
- [00:08:38.810]but evidence-based data
- [00:08:41.080]and information, certainly
- [00:08:43.540]check out the KRI website.
- [00:08:45.940]So we came together and we were
- [00:08:48.740]tasked with something really
- [00:08:51.540]huge.
- [00:08:52.400]We were asked to educate and
- [00:08:54.470]reach college students.
- [00:08:56.600]We had a lot of students on a
- [00:08:57.920]mass scale, however many that
- [00:08:59.490]that we could get this
- [00:09:00.580]information
- [00:09:01.180]in front of.
- [00:09:02.180]So we spent the first few weeks
- [00:09:06.160]as a group brainstorming the
- [00:09:10.060]big potential barriers in
- [00:09:11.720]how we were going to do this in
- [00:09:13.840]consideration for the specific
- [00:09:15.930]audience that we were trying
- [00:09:17.880]to reach.
- [00:09:18.880]So the four kind of primary
- [00:09:20.500]areas that we looked at was
- [00:09:22.170]tone.
- [00:09:22.700]We wanted to make sure that
- [00:09:24.130]tone was appropriate as we saw
- [00:09:25.760]that critical.
- [00:09:26.580]So again, to play off of one of
- [00:09:29.940]the comments that David had
- [00:09:32.990]made earlier, a college student
- [00:09:35.480]isn't going to listen to me,
- [00:09:37.280]tell them what to do and feel
- [00:09:39.000]that they're being misled in
- [00:09:40.920]any way.
- [00:09:41.980]They need to be spoken to in a
- [00:09:44.210]way that they can relate to and
- [00:09:46.630]really understand.
- [00:09:48.640]Content was the other area that
- [00:09:50.870]we brainstormed extensively.
- [00:09:53.340]So we wanted to make it all
- [00:09:55.170]gaming neutral.
- [00:09:56.560]Expanded to themes beyond
- [00:09:58.260]gaming for relevance across a
- [00:10:00.210]wide array of audience members,
- [00:10:02.560]credibility.
- [00:10:03.560]So we we gave serious
- [00:10:04.940]consideration to who was
- [00:10:06.710]actually delivering the
- [00:10:08.340]messages and wanted
- [00:10:09.820]to make sure that there was a
- [00:10:11.930]visual representation of
- [00:10:13.960]college aged persons on the on
- [00:10:16.260]what became
- [00:10:17.260]the Know Your Play platform.
- [00:10:19.820]And finally, look and feel it's
- [00:10:21.620]2025 the internet looks very,
- [00:10:23.900]very different from when I was
- [00:10:25.640]a college student.
- [00:10:26.540]So we utilize best user
- [00:10:28.380]experience practices to ensure
- [00:10:31.020]that they would appeal to
- [00:10:33.070]contemporary
- [00:10:34.320]college students.
- [00:10:37.380]And so through, you know,
- [00:10:39.140]through this process, what we
- [00:10:41.140]landed on was a website which
- [00:10:42.980]we named
- [00:10:43.640]Know Your Play.
- [00:10:44.700]You can visit it at www.knowyourplay.org
- [00:10:48.960]and simple was the goal here.
- [00:10:51.460]So I'll take you through the
- [00:10:53.120]website itself so you can have
- [00:10:55.000]a little real time demo of
- [00:10:56.520]it.
- [00:10:57.520]So this is actually a
- [00:10:58.740]screenshot of the entire
- [00:11:00.270]landing page and from a back
- [00:11:01.940]end journey and
- [00:11:03.160]mapping perspective, it is it
- [00:11:05.420]is not much more complex than
- [00:11:07.510]this.
- [00:11:08.200]Again, that was very
- [00:11:09.710]intentional.
- [00:11:10.920]So from a design perspective,
- [00:11:12.890]we thought, OK, we need to make
- [00:11:14.890]sure that this content
- [00:11:16.360]is accessible via cell phone,
- [00:11:18.970]that this information is easy
- [00:11:21.480]to access for a busy college
- [00:11:23.780]student
- [00:11:24.560]who is in between studying.
- [00:11:26.500]For exams or in the dining hall.
- [00:11:29.820]So we kind of thought through
- [00:11:31.280]different scenarios and that's
- [00:11:32.920]what informed the look and feel
- [00:11:34.560]of this page.
- [00:11:35.560]So you can see with a bit of
- [00:11:38.840]scrolling on the site itself,
- [00:11:40.150]you'd be able to see all
- [00:11:41.180]of this content.
- [00:11:42.180]But we decided to present the
- [00:11:44.480]vast majority of information
- [00:11:46.880]via via video.
- [00:11:48.300]So all videos that you see on
- [00:11:50.010]the site are between three and
- [00:11:51.890]five minutes long.
- [00:11:53.280]We also included small summaries.
- [00:11:56.480]So again, making sure that we're
- [00:11:58.790]appealing to different style
- [00:12:00.880]learners, but with pretty
- [00:12:03.480]good confidence that this type
- [00:12:05.840]of education and content
- [00:12:07.750]presentation is what is most
- [00:12:09.930]appealing
- [00:12:10.860]to to to college students
- [00:12:12.910]currently.
- [00:12:14.060]So when you when you look at
- [00:12:15.970]the website itself, you start
- [00:12:18.250]with a sizzle reel.
- [00:12:19.920]It's a I think a 10 to 15
- [00:12:21.830]second kind of introduction to
- [00:12:23.640]what the site is.
- [00:12:24.860]There's no sound on that.
- [00:12:26.460]It's very intentional.
- [00:12:28.340]We really want to kind of hook
- [00:12:30.590]the user when they they join
- [00:12:32.660]the site so they know exactly
- [00:12:34.340]what the heck is on here,
- [00:12:36.100]because we recognize that there's
- [00:12:38.590]not really an incentive to to
- [00:12:41.600]be on the site beyond providing
- [00:12:44.440]education.
- [00:12:45.140]So we'll we'll get into that a
- [00:12:47.110]bit later and how we we try to
- [00:12:49.010]encourage users and visits
- [00:12:51.060]to the website.
- [00:12:52.060]But that's how we started our
- [00:12:53.910]design as you scroll down the
- [00:12:55.770]site.
- [00:12:56.440]You will see different kind of
- [00:12:58.680]bars of videos.
- [00:13:00.040]Each of those videos speaks to
- [00:13:01.740]a different theme.
- [00:13:02.980]So users are able to go through
- [00:13:05.370]and scroll and click on a video
- [00:13:07.750]that interests them within
- [00:13:09.580]the parameter of that theme.
- [00:13:11.180]So the first one you can see
- [00:13:13.160]here is Understanding Money Habits.
- [00:13:16.140]Those videos were designed and
- [00:13:18.730]produced by KindBridge Behavioral
- [00:13:21.930]Health.
- [00:13:22.640]The next one down was Integrating
- [00:13:24.400]Mental Health Finances in
- [00:13:25.790]School.
- [00:13:26.420]And then the third kind of thematic
- [00:13:29.610]bar of content is Responsible
- [00:13:32.410]Gaming, and that information
- [00:13:34.680]was presented by the Responsible
- [00:13:37.820]Gaming Council.
- [00:13:39.460]It was really important for us
- [00:13:41.610]to not inadvertently put
- [00:13:43.480]content out where we would be
- [00:13:45.480]driving
- [00:13:46.140]users to gamble.
- [00:13:47.600]So the last thing that we want
- [00:13:49.640]to do was provide education
- [00:13:51.600]with the intent of spreading
- [00:13:53.700]awareness
- [00:13:54.500]of responsible gaming.
- [00:13:56.400]Having users walk away thinking
- [00:13:58.360]that they now know how to
- [00:13:59.810]gamble and can game the game
- [00:14:01.540]the system.
- [00:14:02.540]It's a total opposite of what
- [00:14:04.620]we want.
- [00:14:05.480]So for the responsible gaming
- [00:14:07.650]content created by RGC, what
- [00:14:09.800]they did was really focus in
- [00:14:11.900]on responsible gaming themes.
- [00:14:14.320]So illusions of control, randomness,
- [00:14:17.070]decision-making, things like
- [00:14:19.250]that, which are, of course,
- [00:14:21.340]incredibly
- [00:14:22.240]applicable to responsible
- [00:14:23.630]gaming, but also applicable to
- [00:14:25.210]other areas of life.
- [00:14:26.380]The subsequent and final kind
- [00:14:29.630]of content bar that we have
- [00:14:32.510]down is what we term as
- [00:14:34.850]exclusive
- [00:14:36.140]content.
- [00:14:37.140]So that was content designed
- [00:14:39.800]and produced by us at Epic
- [00:14:42.180]Global Solutions, and it
- [00:14:44.560]includes
- [00:14:45.520]videos, short videos of our
- [00:14:47.470]lived experience staff who
- [00:14:49.350]share insights into their own
- [00:14:51.380]stories
- [00:14:52.020]and struggling with gambling,
- [00:14:53.620]and one additional video, which
- [00:14:55.340]we have on there.
- [00:14:56.360]It's incredibly embarrassing,
- [00:14:58.730]but I'm featured in this video
- [00:15:00.780]as well.
- [00:15:01.620]And I'm just talking with a
- [00:15:03.480]colleague about the legal
- [00:15:05.340]gambling landscape because so
- [00:15:07.560]much
- [00:15:07.980]of what we see and in the
- [00:15:09.580]conversations we have at Epic
- [00:15:11.710]is that there's just a general
- [00:15:13.920]lack of understanding of what
- [00:15:15.990]the legal environment looks
- [00:15:18.080]like, what controls are in
- [00:15:19.900]place.
- [00:15:20.660]So it's really important for us
- [00:15:22.500]that we're able to educate and
- [00:15:24.280]provide information on
- [00:15:25.780]that foundation.
- [00:15:26.340]So that any viewers are kind of
- [00:15:28.340]working from the same page.
- [00:15:30.360]And, you know, it's important
- [00:15:32.170]to add there that I totally get
- [00:15:33.850]it, right?
- [00:15:34.780]It is really a complex
- [00:15:36.330]regulatory environment out
- [00:15:38.420]there.
- [00:15:39.180]So we want to do our part in
- [00:15:41.200]spreading that information
- [00:15:43.570]because without that kind of
- [00:15:46.130]foundational
- [00:15:46.640]understanding, how can we
- [00:15:48.290]seriously expect anyone to
- [00:15:49.930]stand up these incredible
- [00:15:51.530]prevention
- [00:15:52.320]and intervention programs?
- [00:15:56.320]So that's one of the things
- [00:15:57.740]that we're trying to do, is we
- [00:15:59.360]want to make sure that we're
- [00:16:01.260]able to get the information out
- [00:16:02.460]there and we're able to make
- [00:16:03.550]sure that we're able to
- [00:16:04.500]get the information out there
- [00:16:05.780]that we need to make sure that
- [00:16:06.970]we're able to get the
- [00:16:07.820]information
- [00:16:08.500]out there, that we're able to
- [00:16:09.140]get the information out there
- [00:16:09.880]that we need to make sure that
- [00:16:10.400]we're
- [00:16:10.640]able to get the information out
- [00:16:11.350]there that we need to make sure
- [00:16:12.030]that we're able to get
- [00:16:12.600]the information out there that
- [00:16:12.980]we need to make sure that we're
- [00:16:13.260]able to get the information
- [00:16:13.700]out there that we need to make
- [00:16:14.040]sure that we're able to get the
- [00:16:14.360]information out there that
- [00:16:14.700]we need to make sure that we're
- [00:16:15.000]able to get the information out
- [00:16:15.350]there that we need to
- [00:16:15.700]make sure that we're able to
- [00:16:15.980]get the information out there
- [00:16:16.310]that we need to make sure that
- [00:16:16.700]we're able to get the
- [00:16:16.940]information out there that we
- [00:16:17.300]need to make sure that we're
- [00:16:17.700]able to
- [00:16:17.700]get the information out there
- [00:16:27.380]that we need to make sure that
- [00:16:36.750]we're able to get the
- [00:16:43.290]information
- [00:16:47.680]continually monitoring that
- [00:16:49.610]data is important for real-time
- [00:16:51.740]feedback so that we can then
- [00:16:53.520]inform
- [00:16:53.920]future content and make changes
- [00:16:56.300]as needed. So we never want to
- [00:16:58.560]consider know your play is
- [00:17:00.710]something
- [00:17:01.000]that's static. It's always
- [00:17:03.120]going to be evolving and that's
- [00:17:05.340]very intentional because we
- [00:17:07.480]know humans
- [00:17:08.000]continually evolve. Scrolling
- [00:17:10.560]further down on the page
- [00:17:12.310]underneath the quiz itself are
- [00:17:14.670]support
- [00:17:15.320]resources. So linking to the
- [00:17:18.100]National Council on Problem Gambling
- [00:17:21.600]helpline number, we have
- [00:17:23.120]information about KindBridge
- [00:17:25.110]Behavioral Health as well. And
- [00:17:27.260]then also downloadable support
- [00:17:29.390]PDFs. So
- [00:17:30.280]again, we really wanted to
- [00:17:31.540]cater to different style
- [00:17:32.690]learners or individuals with
- [00:17:34.070]different
- [00:17:34.620]needs. So once I switch over
- [00:17:36.300]and actually demo for you, you'll
- [00:17:38.250]be able to see what the PDFs
- [00:17:39.870]look
- [00:17:40.020]like. They're simply one-pagers,
- [00:17:42.280]super brief summary designed
- [00:17:44.010]for two-pronged,
- [00:17:45.320]primary audiences. The first
- [00:17:47.020]are students themselves, and
- [00:17:49.150]the second are for what we
- [00:17:51.180]would call
- [00:17:51.660]influential adults. So when we
- [00:17:53.550]think about influential adults
- [00:17:55.820]to college students, we're
- [00:17:57.700]thinking about university staff,
- [00:17:59.850]and we're also thinking about
- [00:18:01.550]parents as well. Again, another
- [00:18:04.240]area that we're able to monitor
- [00:18:06.650]and also important to note that
- [00:18:09.070]we made these PDFs also
- [00:18:10.920]available in
- [00:18:11.700]Spanish because we don't have a
- [00:18:13.840]very strong sense of Spanish.
- [00:18:14.930]We don't have a very strong
- [00:18:15.180]sense of
- [00:18:15.320]understanding of the need of
- [00:18:18.350]non-primary English speakers in
- [00:18:21.260]accessing this content. So
- [00:18:23.080]again, if we
- [00:18:24.500]see that there's a huge uptick
- [00:18:26.660]in Spanish-language PDFs being
- [00:18:29.010]downloaded, then that would
- [00:18:31.540]suggest to
- [00:18:32.580]us, hey, we should be providing
- [00:18:35.450]more content in Spanish or
- [00:18:37.720]other languages as we continue
- [00:18:40.260]to receive
- [00:18:41.700]feedback. And then just at the
- [00:18:43.130]footer of the page, there's a
- [00:18:43.890]little bit of information about
- [00:18:44.620]the
- [00:18:44.620]need of non-primary English
- [00:18:44.620]speakers in accessing this
- [00:18:44.620]content. So again, if we see
- [00:18:44.620]that there's a huge uptick in
- [00:18:44.620]Spanish-language PDFs being
- [00:18:44.740]downloaded, then that would
- [00:18:44.880]suggest to us, hey, we should
- [00:18:45.010]be providing more
- [00:18:45.220]content in Spanish or other
- [00:18:45.220]languages as we continue to
- [00:18:45.220]receive feedback. And then just
- [00:18:45.220]at the footer of the page,
- [00:18:45.300]is the About Us. So let me just
- [00:18:47.810]move you all to the side. The
- [00:18:50.820]About Us page. So again, I will
- [00:18:54.200]take you through this so you
- [00:18:56.300]can see exactly where it is.
- [00:18:57.860]Interestingly, this is our
- [00:18:59.240]second most visited page on the
- [00:19:02.120]website. You can call it like a
- [00:19:03.620]user journey map. And I think
- [00:19:06.160]because this is such a novel
- [00:19:08.920]concept, right? I mean, you
- [00:19:15.280]have online gambling operators
- [00:19:15.280]coming together to
- [00:19:15.280]fund this programming. So
- [00:19:17.160]people are naturally curious
- [00:19:19.350]about that. So we were
- [00:19:21.660]thoughtful about the language
- [00:19:23.790]that we use to explain the
- [00:19:26.900]intent of the programming. And
- [00:19:29.220]also is the project partners
- [00:19:31.920]lend our names to it as well,
- [00:19:34.740]because that sort of integrity
- [00:19:37.900]and prevention-based integrity
- [00:19:40.100]and also support in the
- [00:19:45.260]overarching mission has been
- [00:19:45.260]demonstrated to us. So we
- [00:19:46.640]wanted to make sure that anyone
- [00:19:48.370]viewing the site knows that,
- [00:19:50.180]yes, this information has the
- [00:19:52.440]backing of Epic, KindBridge,
- [00:19:54.420]and the Responsible Gaming
- [00:19:56.100]Council. So let me take you all
- [00:20:00.540]to a demo. I'm just going to
- [00:20:02.080]switch my screen real quickly.
- [00:20:04.220]Bear with me.
- [00:20:15.240]So let me take you all to a
- [00:20:15.760]demo. I'm just going to switch
- [00:20:16.490]my screen real quickly. Bear
- [00:20:26.500]with me.
- [00:20:45.220]So let me take you all to a
- [00:20:52.500]demo. I'm just going to switch
- [00:21:02.330]my screen real quickly. Bear
- [00:21:11.810]with me.
- [00:21:15.200]So let me take you all to a
- [00:21:22.480]demo. I'm just going to switch
- [00:21:32.310]my screen real quickly. Bear
- [00:21:41.790]with me.
- [00:21:45.180]So let me take you all to a
- [00:21:52.460]demo. I'm just going to switch
- [00:22:02.260]my screen real quickly. Bear
- [00:22:11.770]with me.
- [00:22:15.160]So let me take you all to a
- [00:22:22.440]demo. I'm just going to switch
- [00:22:32.270]my screen real quickly. Bear
- [00:22:41.750]with me.
- [00:22:45.140]So let me take you all to a
- [00:22:52.420]demo. I'm just going to switch
- [00:23:02.250]my screen real quickly. Bear
