Though not originally from Nebraska, Cathryn Klein has found her place in the state’s agricultural community—and the Nebraska LEAD Program helped strengthen that connection. She shares how LEAD deepened her understanding of Nebraska agriculture and expanded her network with passionate leaders from across the state.

[00:00:12.000]My first expectations of LEAD... I wasn't quite sure what I would be getting out of it.
[00:00:16.000]Coming from Iowa, then South Dakota and then finally to
[00:00:19.000]Nebraska, I wasn't really quite sure on what all of the agriculture
[00:00:24.000]in Nebraska well, that it has.
[00:00:27.000]So getting the chance to see it from the eastern to the western side
[00:00:32.000]was amazing, just because I'd only been in
[00:00:35.000]Iowa, that was where I grew up, and then coming to Nebraska, I just
[00:00:39.000]have more sense of being proud to be a Nebraska now transplant.
[00:00:44.000]But the Nebraska LEAD Program not only did that for me, but
[00:00:47.000]it also brought me 29 other friends
[00:00:50.000]that all have the same perspective as I do
[00:00:53.000]and more networking opportunities than I could ever hope for.
[00:00:57.000]And I truly hope to use that in my community
[00:01:01.000]and give back to my community as well and hopefully use it in the agricultural industry.
