Coming from outside Nebraska, Sidney Robinson embraced the opportunity to dive into the state’s rich agricultural landscape through the Nebraska LEAD Program. She shares how the experience expanded her knowledge, broadened her network and connected her with incredible people across Nebraska’s ag community.

[00:00:12.000]I've really enjoyed my time in the Nebraska LEAD Program.
[00:00:15.000]And being someone that is not originally from Nebraska and
[00:00:19.000]being a transplant to Nebraska, I've been able to learn
[00:00:23.000]so much about the state all the way from
[00:00:26.000]the east to the west and really get to explore new things that the state has to offer
[00:00:30.000]Another aspect of the program that has really meant a lot to me is all
[00:00:33.000]of the LEAD Fellows that I've got to meet and connect with and hopefully have lifelong relationships with
[00:00:38.000]And just get to learn what they
[00:00:41.000]do on a daily basis and the different aspects that they're involved in.
[00:00:44.000]Something that the LEAD Program has encouraged me to do
[00:00:48.000]is become a lifelong learner. That, I think, is something that
[00:00:51.000]I will continue to do in many different avenues.
[00:00:54.000]And then also just stay open to any and all opportunities that are presented to myself.
[00:00:59.000]I'm from a small rural
[00:01:01.000]community and I have young children, and so I hope to be
[00:01:04.000]involved in community things.
[00:01:07.000]I feel like right away
[00:01:08.000]to raise them in a prosperous community and have opportunities for them
[00:01:11.000]to grow and learn in Nebraska agriculture as well.
[00:01:14.000]So, overall, it's been a great experience, and I've really enjoyed it.
