[00:00:12.000]I've really enjoyed my experience with the Nebraska
[00:00:15.000]LEAD Program over the last couple of years.
[00:00:17.000]And specifically, two areas that have expanded my knowledge:
[00:00:21.000]One would be just the greater appreciation for the
[00:00:24.000]state of Nebraska's diverse ag system.
[00:00:28.000]You know whether it be the oil fields in Trenton, Nebraska or
[00:00:31.000]the sugar beet industry in Gering and Scottsbluff. It's
[00:00:36.000]developed a greater understanding and appreciation
[00:00:39.000]that I can share with others that I come across in my daily walk.
[00:00:42.000]And then I also, living in Lincoln being from a small
[00:00:45.000]town, I feel the call to hopefully bridge the gap between rural and urban.
[00:00:52.000]You know, the other area would be
[00:00:54.000]the political system.
[00:00:55.000]It's something that previously has overwhelmed me.
[00:00:58.000]I generally haven't had an interest to learn more about it, but through
[00:01:02.000]the seminar, I've learned a lot more about it and learned that the leaders in our
[00:01:05.000]state are normal people that have been
[00:01:09.000]called to serve others and responded to the call.
[00:01:11.000]So, I don't know specifically what that looks like for me, but I do feel that call
[00:01:17.000]in the future, whether it be a Regent's role
[00:01:20.000]or something similar. But I
[00:01:23.000]enjoy leadership and it's ignited the
[00:01:27.000]fire for more advanced leadership.
