[00:00:28.000]transformative experience for me. And how I plan to use it going forward
[00:00:32.000]is really hard to say.
[00:00:33.000]You know, I have never really participated in
[00:00:37.000]in leadership positions such as
[00:00:41.000]school boards or committees and things like that.
[00:00:43.000]And certainly I think I'll be more willing to say "yes" to those opportunities in the future.
[00:00:49.000]Moving forward,
[00:00:50.000]I'm going to be moving back to a rural community that I was raised in.
[00:00:53.000]And one thing that
[00:00:56.000]the LEAD Program has taught me is
[00:00:58.000]when you're faced with opposition or you're maybe disagreeing
[00:01:01.000]with someone, it's important to stand next to them and
[00:01:04.000]and look at the problem and try and solve it together rather than
[00:01:07.000]a bunch of rebuttal back and forth.
[00:01:09.000]And I think that there's a lot of these rural communities in Nebraska
[00:01:13.000]that are so, so similar
[00:01:15.000]that face a lot of similar issues, but each community
[00:01:20.000]tries to go at it on their own.
[00:01:21.000]I think one thing I would really like to do going forward is
[00:01:24.000]be a bridge between those communities and and bring people together because,
[00:01:28.000]especially in rural Nebraska, the only way we were going to survive and move forward is if we find a way to do that together.
[00:01:34.000]And so...
[00:01:35.000]that's something I'm going to be passionate about moving forward, really trying to build up
[00:01:38.000]others in leadership roles as well. Encourage them to come along with us.
[00:01:42.000]You know, if they maybe don't have as much leadership development
[00:01:46.000]experience as what we've received as a participant in the LEAD Program.
[00:01:49.000]And so, those are a few ways
[00:01:51.000]I plan to use my LEAD experience moving forward. And finally, just
[00:01:54.000]trying to be someone that approaches things in a positive manner and
[00:01:58.000]and tries to propose solutions rather than,
[00:02:02.000]you know, pointing out problems or obstacles that need
[00:02:05.000]to be overcome, try to approach that in more of a positive way.
