- [00:00:28.500]Okay.
- [00:00:29.333]Welcome.
- [00:00:30.000]Thank you so much for your willingness to spend time on this space.
- [00:00:34.041]I have been looking forward to this for a really long time.
- [00:00:37.125]Yeah, it's a different energy.
- [00:00:38.083]When I saw and what I heard when I first walked in today.
- [00:00:42.083]It was such positive energy and nobody walked in
- [00:00:45.333]and was like,
- [00:00:46.125]“Who should I talk to?” Somebody immediately moved in on them,
- [00:00:50.375]And “Can I get your name tag?” and... So, what I was observing
- [00:00:54.291]and what I was hearing was just a whole level of positivity.
- [00:00:59.625]I was like, wow, you know, and it just made you feel better.
- [00:01:03.541]It was just kind of like it just subliminally happened.
- [00:01:05.583]You were just, like, in the in the bubble again.
- [00:01:09.958]It was such a good experience.
- [00:01:11.791]One of the things I heard was people talking about how they can spot
- [00:01:16.083]other NHRI people.
- [00:01:18.833]It's night and day.
- [00:01:20.500]I mean, you don't know if they got an “NHRI” on their forehead.
- [00:01:24.041]But you can, you can see an NHRI-type person.
- [00:01:27.458]Labeling them, take initiative.
- [00:01:30.791]They quickly know how to establish relationships yada yada yada.
- [00:01:34.250]((music))
- [00:01:44.083]I think we did some pretty good stuff. Yeah.
- [00:01:47.083]But it's nothing compared to what they’re doing today.
- [00:01:49.666]I mean, you know, talk about their one on ones and they
- [00:01:53.083]and then they reflect on it and all that.
- [00:01:54.666]I mean, it's it's it's it's deep.
- [00:01:58.125]It's deep.
- [00:01:58.958]Compared to, we just had fun.
- [00:02:01.291]I mean, I don't know, but it was it just,
- [00:02:03.750]Yeah.
- [00:02:04.083]I'm just very impressed with the
- [00:02:05.833]intentionality that they have with those and that the leader has them
- [00:02:09.375]do, go through the agenda, and the things they accomplish.
- [00:02:13.208]And yeah, it's pretty powerful.
- [00:02:15.458]Why do some people just blossom?
- [00:02:17.958]And it's typically because they're investing in others.
- [00:02:20.791]And yeah, and a whole new way.
- [00:02:22.708]You have a purpose.
- [00:02:24.541]You know what you want.
- [00:02:25.791]What you want to, still make an impact to your dying day.
- [00:02:27.958]And that's, I think there's a lot of NHRI people like that,
- [00:02:31.791]But I'm really curious about as we age,
- [00:02:35.375]the people who've been in a mentoring relationship
- [00:02:39.208]I’m actually seeing my friends who've had some type of relationship
- [00:02:44.041]along the way, how they're leaning in at
- [00:02:47.166]at a whole different level of mentorship now.
- [00:02:50.958]And my friends who haven't had that are kind of falling off the cliff.
- [00:02:55.458]kind of like “I'm not significant.”
- [00:02:56.875]“I don't feel significant.”
- [00:02:57.958]“Where’s my meaning? Where's my purpose?”
- [00:03:00.791]So, so, more mentoring experiences
- [00:03:03.958]is always better than the less.
- [00:03:07.041]In terms of... I think so but but it's really good to kind of
- [00:03:10.000]look at what that is,
- [00:03:12.333]and how much does it take
- [00:03:14.416]for somebody to really have a
- [00:03:16.458]change in how they act,
- [00:03:20.291]and really regard it as an influential experience.
- [00:03:25.166]((music))
- [00:03:32.458]One thing that I think that is awesome
- [00:03:34.500]that's really a strength is that the,
- [00:03:37.875]that we have an endowed professor that can do research.
- [00:03:41.541]It’s huge in a university setting.
- [00:03:44.250]because the data is there and that's all, you know,
- [00:03:48.291]a ton of data that needs to be captured.
- [00:03:50.500]So, on a positive note, that is a great, great, great, great thing.
- [00:03:55.666]So happy to hear that.
- [00:03:56.666]Well, and I have considered today a once in a lifetime opportunity.
- [00:04:01.166]So, I hope you know that, number one.
- [00:04:03.333]And number two, I'm so thankful that we were able to capture your stories
- [00:04:06.875]in this span of time. I’m getting choked up.
- [00:04:08.541]It means a lot to be able to capture your stories.
- [00:04:10.583]There's so much richness, to your experience.
- [00:04:12.625]And then what you've done.
- [00:04:13.833]I've had the chance to observe you in your and your lifetime, post-NHRI,
- [00:04:19.833]And, anyway, I've been very inspired
- [00:04:22.166]by each of you individually, so this is a particularly banner moment for me.
- [00:04:26.125]So thank you.
- [00:04:27.875]((music))
