[00:00:18.360]Sophomores, really, we've learned that freshmen and sophomores
[00:00:22.080]are those that are really starting to look at careers.
[00:00:25.760]Once they move into that junior and senior,
[00:00:27.740]they kind of already have that path kind of identified.
[00:00:30.980]That way they can start preparing their coursework
[00:00:33.940]or what they need to do as they move in to get to that career.
[00:00:37.320]But a lot of the exploration really starts even into that junior high,
[00:00:42.420]middle school age, but then freshman.
[00:00:44.440]Freshman and sophomores are the ones that are really starting to look at exactly what they're wanting to do for a career.
[00:00:50.300]The sophomores interested in ag-related careers visited businesses as well as the Panhandle Research Extension and Education Center.
[00:00:58.500]We wanted to have them at least see some things that we actually do.
[00:01:03.100]And so the labs that we're actually doing some things right now, we had our soils lab, our entomology lab,
[00:01:10.420]and then our dry bean breeder was doing some things through harvest today.
[00:01:15.160]The career cabs are held in the spring and fall, and this one had three locations in Alliance, Sidney, and Scottsbluff.
