[00:00:17.250]As builders, we really get to learn how

[00:00:21.660]I think we hear about our Clifton Strengths
[00:00:23.790]and take them in BSAD 111.
[00:00:25.680]But as builders, we really get to learn
[00:00:27.930]about them individually and why we are the way we are
[00:00:31.200]and how we work and grow.
[00:00:33.360]Being part of the Clifton Strengths community
[00:00:35.504]has allowed me to meet a lot of different people,
[00:00:38.490]not only on campus, but also outside of campus.
[00:00:41.700]Our Business Builder track covers
[00:00:43.320]entrepreneurial opportunities, managing growth,
[00:00:46.440]and business plan development.
[00:00:48.510]Our Team and Community Builder tracks cover
[00:00:50.940]global leadership, ethical organizations,
[00:00:53.850]and managing high-performance teams within both
[00:00:56.400]the non-profit and public sectors.
[00:00:59.340]Clifton Builders gain knowledge by also working
[00:01:01.620]with a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach
[00:01:03.660]and student mentors to continue developing their skills
[00:01:06.720]and pursuing their passions.
[00:01:08.910]My experience through the Management Consulting Project
[00:01:11.850]was incredibly impactful.
[00:01:13.500]We consulted with an organization called
[00:01:15.600]Heartland Bike Share in Omaha,
[00:01:17.610]and we were able to provide them with action items
[00:01:20.730]to increase employee engagement.
[00:01:22.620]And then we were able to present our findings
[00:01:24.750]to Gallup executives.
[00:01:26.520]And this project really helped me learn more about
[00:01:30.360]my leadership abilities, and it gave us the opportunity
[00:01:34.500]to apply our in-class experiences
[00:01:37.200]to provide a real-world solution,
[00:01:39.990]And they showcase their entrepreneurial skills
[00:01:42.330]and pitch competitions and serve as judges
[00:01:44.790]in similar contests for high school students.
[00:01:47.970]I really wanna set myself apart in both the managerial
[00:01:50.340]and entrepreneurship aspect of it.
[00:01:52.170]One day I wanna own my own practice and be a surgeon,
[00:01:54.960]and so I knew that the entrepreneurship
[00:01:56.490]and managerial aspect would allow me to better connect
[00:01:59.310]with my coworkers and lead a team,
[00:02:01.320]but also to improve the lives of my future patients.
[00:02:04.080]When you're a part of the builders,
[00:02:05.520]you get to actually see it through.
[00:02:07.410]I can start a business one day
[00:02:08.640]because I was able to do it from scratch.
[00:02:10.860]And you know, I think it's been a, it's been a major part
[00:02:13.710]of my Builder experience.
