- [00:04:30.040]We'll do push up for points, color guard, security.
- [00:04:33.600]We have the joint field meet at the bottom, Army Navy football

- [00:04:42.354]911 stair run for spring semester events.
- [00:04:45.320]We'll have things like submarine ball which is the picture on the
- [00:04:48.780]upright.
- [00:04:50.040]We'll have the Colorado field meet picture on the bottom
- [00:04:53.333]right.
- [00:04:54.160]We'll have commissioning, field exercise where the brains go out
- [00:04:58.655]and do infantry or other Marine Corps tactics out in the field,

- [00:05:28.425]out to the fleet and you will participate in activities out in
- [00:05:32.407]the fleet.
- [00:05:33.920]Every midshipman has to do NSI new student indoctrination.
- [00:05:37.680]New student indoctrination is 3 weeks up in Great Lakes, IL
- [00:05:41.261]where you're going to go through and you'll do a boot camp up
- [00:05:44.961]there.
- [00:05:46.240]That will be 1 summer you have to do that.
- [00:05:49.160]So if you were to join your right now, your freshman year,
- [00:05:52.790]you will go the freshman or your rising sophomore summer.
- [00:05:56.960]And after that, if we didn't get you on a second class cruise,
- [00:06:00.412]we'll get you on culture made, culture made, career orientation
- [00:06:03.920]and training permit Shimon.
- [00:06:05.760]That is where you spend a week with each community that you
- [00:06:08.522]could go into school, a week with surface warfare, a week
- [00:06:11.192]with submarine warfare, a week with aviation, and a week with
- [00:06:14.047]the Marines.
- [00:06:15.320]For surface warfare, you would expect to go on the way on
- [00:06:18.775]ships, do a fire fire trainer, and then go look at amphibious
- [00:06:22.469]craft, stuff like that.
- [00:06:24.880]For aviation, you would expect to get involved with the
- [00:06:28.613]aviators, go on the simulators for the helicopters, get taken
- [00:06:32.746]up by helicopters and other aircraft.
- [00:06:36.120]For Marines, you expect to go out with the Marines in the
- [00:06:39.874]field, shoot guns.
- [00:06:41.440]Do Marine Corps tactics out there and then for submarine you
- [00:06:45.943]expect to go underway on the sub as well and do other submarine
- [00:06:50.667]simulators.
- [00:06:52.800]For the Marine Corps option you would do Fleet Marine Force for
- [00:06:56.384]your second class cruise that's Marine month and then officer
- [00:06:59.856]came to school for your first class cruise.
- [00:07:02.520]For Navy option for second class cruise, you will follow enlisted
- [00:07:05.928]sailor around and you learn a little about little bit about
- [00:07:09.026]the life of the enlisted on the ships.
- [00:07:11.880]For first class cruise we also have aviation cruise and we also
- [00:07:15.876]have a sub cruise.
- [00:07:17.000]We go on the sub, the normal first class cruise.
- [00:07:19.600]You'll go on a ship and you'll shout out officer the summer
- [00:07:23.882]before you Commission so you're prepared.
- [00:07:27.360]And then we also have seals we go at the seals for.
- [00:07:30.120]So As for that first class cruise, here's a couple good
- [00:07:35.312]photos of my machine went out in the fleet amendment.
- [00:07:41.080]Every machine man.
- [00:07:42.240]Once you graduate you will have to do a minimum of five years of
- [00:07:45.835]service at the commissioning.
- [00:07:47.960]At the scholarship activation, you are committed to serving or
- [00:07:51.059]paying back any tuition.
- [00:07:52.240]The Navy is already funded.
- [00:07:53.800]There may be additional commitment based on the
- [00:07:55.686]community.
- [00:07:56.080]For example, for pilot NFO it'll be 8 years requirement because
- [00:08:00.028]you'll do 2 years of school plus additional couple extra maybe
- [00:08:03.916]year and a half for school and then you go out to the fleet.
- [00:08:09.440]Permission the opportunities through the Navy you could do
- [00:08:12.763]through ROT.
- [00:08:13.440]In RCC you could go to surface warfare, surface warfare, nuke
- [00:08:18.140]submarine warfare, aviation, and for aviation as pilot or naval
- [00:08:22.993]flight officer special warfare, that being SEAL or EOD
- [00:08:27.163]information warfare.
- [00:08:29.040]For the Marine Corps options, the jobs will be available upon
- [00:08:32.062]a completion of the basic school.
- [00:08:33.720]So you won't get to pick here, but once you Commission here,
- [00:08:36.610]you'll go to another school and then once you complete that
- [00:08:39.454]school, you get to choose your job.
- [00:08:41.640]Those jobs, some of them are infantry, aviation, logistics,
- [00:08:45.297]artillery communication.
