- [00:00:19.360]Army Reserve Officer Training Corps ROTC is an educational
- [00:00:23.044]program and prepares students to be leaders and managers in the
- [00:00:27.040]Army, the Army National Guard, and the US Army Reserves.
- [00:00:31.200]Army ROTC allows you to attend college and earn a degree while
- [00:00:35.097]simultaneously completing requirements to Commission as a
- [00:00:38.686]second Lieutenant.
- [00:00:40.360]ROTC is an alternative to getting is not an alternative to
- [00:00:43.570]getting a college degree, nor is it something students do in lieu
- [00:00:47.161]of college.
- [00:00:48.280]It is a military education program taken in conjunction
- [00:00:51.529]while earning your college degree.
- [00:00:54.200]Officers Commission through ROTC can serve in the Army Reserves,
- [00:00:58.180]the National Guard or Active Duty Army, participate in
- [00:01:01.548]freshman and sophomore classes of ROTC without any commitment
- [00:01:05.345]to the Army.
- [00:01:07.320]Our scholarships will cover 100% tuition and fees or you can opt
- [00:01:11.777]for the room and board option which is $12,000 per year to the
- [00:01:16.097]student, yearly book stiphon of $1200 per academic year and a
- [00:01:20.348]monthly spending stiphon of $420.00 per month for 10
- [00:01:23.982]academic months.
- [00:01:25.720]The Husker Salute pledge demonstrates Nebraska commitment
- [00:01:29.039]to the military family community by waving the out of state
- [00:01:32.472]portion of tuition.
- [00:01:34.000]Nebraska offers in state tuition for out of state undergraduate
- [00:01:38.006]first students and transfer military connected members and
- [00:01:41.699]military spouses or dependents.
- [00:01:44.000]This also includes the individual who has no military
- [00:01:47.283]connection and is out of state and wants to be in the ROTC
- [00:01:50.871]program will automatically qualify for the in state
- [00:01:54.033]tuition.

- [00:02:10.749]actually do for the Army ROTC How to enroll first year
- [00:02:14.962]students, Fall semester enrolling to military science
- [00:02:19.098]one O 1 and one O 1 L Our class is 1 hours long and the lab is 2
- [00:02:24.077]hours long.
- [00:02:25.600]It's pretty simple.
- [00:02:26.440]It's just military science, one O 1 and one O 1 L We look
