[00:00:22.503]topics and some agribusiness topics as well.
[00:00:23.753]What happened in the last growing season
[00:00:25.892]different issues that arose some different
[00:00:29.661]research findings that were discovered,
[00:00:32.345]those are some things we try to highlight.
[00:00:34.984]In the Panhandle, there are
[00:00:36.371]more specialty crops grown than in the
[00:00:38.157]east, where they grow predominately corn and soybeans.
[00:00:41.869]We try to tailor the needs to be more
[00:00:44.019]specific to the region as we can. So,
[00:00:46.994]being in the Panhandle, you have a lot
[00:00:48.944]more specialty crops and dryland acres
[00:00:50.891]that just aren’t seen as you move east.
[00:00:54.456]Proctor says producers find the clinic
[00:00:56.366]helpful in a couple of ways.
[00:00:58.483]The different faculty from the University
[00:01:00.831]are presenting at these meetings so they
[00:01:02.373]are in-person meetings, and there is a
[00:01:05.435]fair amount of research that’s being
[00:01:06.957]conducted over the year that gets
[00:01:08.772]highlighted at these meetings.
[00:01:10.119]So, it’s a good place to come for updates.
[00:01:11.717]The clinic also offers Pesticide Applicator
[00:01:13.683]Recertification for applicators to renew
[00:01:16.102]their license. It is a legal requirement
[00:01:18.385]that commercial and private applicators
[00:01:20.274]renew their license every three years.
