[00:00:11.008]the beans after they have harvested them.
[00:00:12.968]He explains the reason for their threshing
[00:00:15.884]We have to keep our bean samples clean
[00:00:18.244]from one plot to another plot.
[00:00:20.888]I mean, every time that we run the
[00:00:22.418]sample through that thresher, we just
[00:00:24.699]all the remnant seed and keep it and clean
[00:00:28.993]the samples. This is all the dry bean
[00:00:37.388]breeding lines are going through that
[00:00:39.740]process I mean, we are threshing
[00:00:43.051]more than 1,000, - 2,000 bean samples.

[00:00:51.066]We’re going to be taking the bean sample
[00:00:52.480]back to the lab, back to Scottsbluff.
[00:00:56.487]We’re going to be taking all the dirt out
[00:00:58.514]of that particular sample. We’re going to
[00:01:02.064]be weighing the sample, the moisture content, and then
[00:01:05.278]running a statistical analysis.
[00:01:10.192]Much like the farmers, Urrea and his crew
[00:01:12.395]were interrupted on Oct. 11, from their
[00:01:14.945]harvesting activities as rain moved into
[00:01:17.060]the area. Harvest will likely continue on Oct. 16.
