[00:00:22.860]the East Campus Union, and the Rec Center.
[00:00:28.680]This is the Dinsdale Family Learning Commons
[00:00:31.140]and East Campus Library.
[00:00:32.640]Let's take a look inside.
[00:00:34.740]On the main floor of the Dinsdale Learning Commons
[00:00:37.110]you're going to find a wide array
[00:00:38.760]of seating arrangements to study.
[00:00:40.860]Whatever fits your need, you'll find a location to study at.
[00:00:44.220]Additionally, as a student, you have access
[00:00:46.800]to the study rooms that can be reserved online.

[00:00:52.710]for the UNL Libraries and Huskertech.

[00:00:56.040]whether you're looking for a book to check out

[00:01:01.440]On the upper level of Dinsdale
[00:01:02.910]you're going to find the Engler Entrepreneurship Program.
[00:01:05.700]This program is focused on challenging you
[00:01:07.950]to become the entrepreneur that you choose to be,
[00:01:10.680]but also connecting you with other entrepreneurs
[00:01:13.650]within the university and out in the industry.
[00:01:17.700]On the lower level of Dinsdale,
[00:01:19.140]you're going to find the C.Y. Thompson Book Collection,
[00:01:22.230]and behind me, you're going to find
[00:01:24.150]the Digital Learning Center
[00:01:25.740]where you can take online proctored exams.
[00:01:32.310]Now we're at Massengale Residential Center.
[00:01:34.290]This is the only residence hall over on East Campus
[00:01:36.660]so let's go take a look inside.
[00:01:39.420]Inside Massengale, we have 374 beds available,
[00:01:42.270]both in our traditional style rooms
[00:01:43.860]and our apartment-style rooms.
[00:01:45.600]We're gonna go look at a showroom now.

[00:01:55.320]typically where freshmen on campus live.
[00:01:57.840]As you can see, we have the beds available
[00:01:59.910]for students to set to any height they want.
[00:02:01.740]Right now, it's at the lowest setting.
[00:02:03.000]Typically, what I see is students lofting them all the way.
[00:02:05.670]So as you can tell, we have a lot taller ceilings here
[00:02:07.680]so you don't have to worry about waking up
[00:02:09.060]and smacking your head in the morning.

[00:02:13.230]There's storage, so you can bring all
[00:02:14.990]of the clothes that you need.

[00:02:18.240]and the room also comes with a fridge,
[00:02:19.920]sadly, not the Husker chair.
[00:02:21.720]And lastly, we do have room temperature control,
[00:02:24.600]which a lot of times students forget about
[00:02:26.370]how nice that can be.
[00:02:28.260]Now we're gonna go check out the apartment-style living.

[00:02:39.570]over on East Campus.
[00:02:41.160]Starting over here, we have our full kitchen.
[00:02:43.110]I always love to point out the dishwasher.
[00:02:45.000]Great so students don't have to hand wash their dishes.
[00:02:47.370]You have the oven, the microwave, and the fridge available.
[00:02:50.370]Comes with the stools,
[00:02:51.840]and then it's connected right over to our living room area
[00:02:54.540]where the couches and end tables
[00:02:56.220]and chairs come with the room.
[00:02:57.990]Sadly, the Husker chair does not come with.
[00:03:01.020]Then if we head over this way,
[00:03:04.920]this is what one individual's room will look like.
[00:03:07.500]Again, it comes with the bed.
[00:03:09.210]It also has the desk, the chair,
[00:03:11.880]and then a really large closet space.
[00:03:13.500]And this would just be for one specific student.

[00:03:17.550]is students will have key card access
[00:03:19.200]to the front door and their room only,
[00:03:21.480]just as a privacy factor.
[00:03:24.210]Then if we head down this way,
[00:03:27.330]we have a lot of counter space for students to get ready,
[00:03:30.510]a sink available, and then a pretty large bathroom as well,
[00:03:35.490]with a large shower, normal bathroom.
[00:03:38.940]So this room is a two-person style room.
[00:03:40.950]We also have four persons apartment-style living
[00:03:43.560]available as well.
[00:03:48.960]Our next stop on the East Campus tour is the East Union.
[00:03:53.640]If you're looking for something fun to do on East Campus,
[00:03:56.310]check out the bowling alley; it is free to students.
[00:03:59.370]Take a break, relax, bring some friends over.
[00:04:02.640]The East Campus Dining Center is the only dining center
[00:04:05.940]located on East Campus,
[00:04:07.530]and can be accessed through your meal plan
[00:04:09.900]which works both on City and East Campus.

[00:04:14.310]you're going to find a wide variety of food options
[00:04:16.950]all served buffet style.

[00:05:11.430]Outside, we have our sand volleyball, basketball,
[00:05:13.770]and tennis courts.
[00:05:14.790]And then inside we have lots of different gym equipment
[00:05:17.070]and free weights that we'll go check out now.
[00:05:19.200]Here on the first floor of the Rec,
[00:05:20.610]we have all of our gym equipment,
[00:05:22.290]and we also have free weights over in the back corner,
[00:05:24.600]multiple different lifting areas.
[00:05:26.100]We also have our injury and prevention care,

[00:05:29.010]kind of similar to a high school trainer.

[00:05:33.330]over here on the East Campus Rec.

[00:05:42.690]where they do yoga, Pilates in the morning.
[00:05:44.970]There's additional patios on this side of the Rec Center,
[00:05:47.207]and then there's also a group studio
[00:05:49.680]where there's fitness classes that are hosted
[00:05:51.420]and you can also use them for cardio.

[00:05:57.210]There are intramurals that are hosted on East Campus
[00:05:59.190]so anywhere from basketball, racketball, tennis, indoors,
[00:06:03.270]you can play even soccer in these gyms.
