[00:00:09.060]One of the things that I loved about being the Dean
[00:00:11.370]is I think I can have a greater impact on the college
[00:00:14.310]in the sense that I help lead a lot of new
[00:00:17.160]and innovative initiatives in the college
[00:00:19.620]and then get to engage with our alumni,
[00:00:23.820]many of whom I had the pleasure of teaching
[00:00:26.130]over the last 30 years.
[00:00:27.960]So one of the biggest things that just recently happened
[00:00:30.480]is we hosted our advisory boards.
[00:00:33.060]We have 17 boards in the college.
[00:00:35.130]We had almost 300 people attend our luncheon as well
[00:00:39.900]that we host in the spring
[00:00:41.310]to recognize various alumni, corporate partners,
[00:00:45.450]as well as very successful business leaders.
[00:00:48.750]It's a great time to engage with our business partners
[00:00:52.200]and then showcase a lot of the great things
[00:00:54.120]that are happening inside the college.

[00:01:04.200]and do things with my husband.
[00:01:06.180]We used to ride bikes before we had kids,
[00:01:08.340]and then when they were really young,
[00:01:09.690]and then life got busy and our bikes got really old,
[00:01:14.700]and so we bought new bikes and we've started riding again.
[00:01:18.000]And so we've kind of parlayed that into also engaging
[00:01:22.020]with one of our other favorite things, which is coffee.

[00:01:42.330]Sam recently was diagnosed with arthritis in his knee
[00:01:45.780]so he can't run as much anymore,
[00:01:48.630]so he decided to get a bike and start cycling.
[00:01:52.260]And so I got a bike, not to cycle, (Kathy laughing)
[00:01:58.308]but to ride to a coffee shop
[00:02:00.060]or just go out to enjoy the beautiful weather.
