[00:00:20.070]to have strong industry involvement,
[00:00:21.600]and our Kiewit partners are a prime example.

[00:00:26.190]and dollars to fund our Kiewit Scholars program

[00:00:33.360]of executive involvement that our students receive.

[00:00:43.650]What's the best part of being a Kiewit scholar?
[00:00:46.770]I think the best part of being a Kiewit scholar
[00:00:48.780]is being able to have like a projection at a stable future.
[00:00:52.560]Of course, I just get so many opportunities
[00:00:54.750]to, like, have career development my freshman year
[00:00:57.540]with the summer internships.
[00:00:59.430]And like Bonnie said, getting to meet executive heads
[00:01:02.460]before my freshman year and getting to truly see
[00:01:04.770]what it means to be an engineer before I graduate

[00:01:12.240]preparing you for your future, and success, and your career?
[00:01:15.930]Well, I believe that the Kiewit Scholars program
[00:01:17.820]is preparing me by, of course, setting me up
[00:01:21.150]with an amazing opportunity of a internship
[00:01:25.260]with Kiewit as a fuel engineer.
[00:01:27.840]Then, of course, we have had trips to, for example, to Omaha
[00:01:31.950]to go see the restoration project that's going on,
[00:01:35.010]which is a very unique experience for a person like myself
[00:01:37.260]who doesn't have any engineering background,
[00:01:39.750]but got the chance to step on a site
[00:01:41.940]and see what's going on, how people do things,
[00:01:44.670]and just get real hands-on, like, experience and development
[00:01:49.350]rather than just in class things that everyone does get.
[00:01:51.810]Well, clearly the Kiewit Scholars program is a big deal
[00:01:54.570]for our engineering students and these first students.
