[00:00:39.840]which is one thing that we really want for our students,
[00:00:42.390]but they also emphasize creativity,
[00:00:44.220]students being able to just come in and make.
[00:00:47.880]And I could not imagine doing that class
[00:00:49.991]in a place that isn't Innovation Studio
[00:00:52.470]because we have worked with wood and metal,
[00:00:55.277]and plastic, and we've learned all these different tools.
[00:00:57.990]We learned how to 3D print, we learned how to weld, and none
[00:01:01.434]of that would've been possible at our shop over in our call.
[00:01:06.240]It's just amazing that we get to get our hands dirty
[00:01:10.020]because that's my favorite part about school,
[00:01:13.350]is the making and the doing.
[00:01:15.450]Students also attended a masterclass workshop led
[00:01:19.560]by nationally renowned furniture design maker
[00:01:22.800]Christopher Martin.
[00:01:24.780]And I came into the interior design program
[00:01:27.390]thinking that decor was what I wanted to do,
[00:01:30.360]but over the last two and a half, three years,
[00:01:34.276]I've discovered that furniture making
[00:01:36.420]is the passion that I want to pursue.
[00:01:38.754]And so having this workshop opportunity
[00:01:41.100]was really eye-opening because it showed me
[00:01:44.356]that it's something that I am capable
[00:01:46.800]of doing and that my passion
[00:01:48.000]and my hard work are going in the right place.
