Nebraska Regional Food Systems Initiative—Rural Prosperity Nebraska

The Nebraska Regional Food Systems Initiative partners with Rural Prosperity Nebraska to make fresh, healthy food more accessible to all Nebraskans. Through a number of programs and workshops, RPN Extension Educators share their education and expertise to help communities strengthen or initiate their farmers markets, establish farm-to-school programs, establish SNAP benefits and Double-up Food Bucks programs in local grocery stores, and more. This is all in an effort to help communities bring healthier, fresher and tastier local foods to their residents, with the goal of improving the quality of life for all Nebraskans.
