Donors and friends of the University of Nebraska College of Engineering affix signatures to a steel beam before it's hoisted to the top of Kiewit Hall.

[00:00:09.390]And having that signed beam up on top of what will become Kiewit Hall.
[00:00:13.740]It is the largest academic project in the history of the University of
[00:00:17.910]Nebraska-Lincoln, with the enabling of a lot of province support.
[00:00:23.490]We really want this to be the home of engineering for the entire Midwest.
[00:00:27.960]That's what we have an opportunity to do.
[00:00:29.760]I'm so excited about this.
[00:00:31.590]This is about the growth of not only our university, it's about the growth of
[00:00:35.490]engineering STEM field in the Midwest, and quite honestly, across our entire
[00:00:38.760]nation.
[00:00:39.540]And thanks to all of you for coming today to celebrate this really important
[00:00:43.440]milestone in the College of Engineering.
[00:00:46.110]When this building is done, it will be a world class College of Engineering.
[00:00:51.360]You know, we have a long history as a Nebraska-based company.
[00:00:54.393]And we have a responsibility to make sure that we make our state and
[00:00:58.279]institutions like the University of Nebraska better and stronger for the years
[00:01:02.729]to come.
[00:01:03.180]Kind of makes me want to come back to school and get a masters that 60 years old.
[00:01:07.889]It really just sort of hits home why we're doing this.
[00:01:10.649]You know, creating an opportunity here to educate the future engineers and to
[00:01:15.498]grow the workforce that Kiewit and so many of our other corporate partners need
[00:01:20.472]and want for the good future of this great state.
[00:01:23.519]A facility like Kiewit Hall will grant every engineering student the ability to
[00:01:28.034]learn as much as possible, to achieve their full potential and to grow into a
[00:01:32.436]top notch engineer.
[00:01:33.509]It is inevitable that the world will be changed for the better by Nebraska engineers.
