[00:00:11.340]We didn't have a relationship at all six years ago.
[00:00:14.280]We weren't doing anything
[00:00:15.270]with a cornerstone institution of the state
[00:00:18.450]and a place like Bryan Health.
[00:00:19.980]And, someone said,
[00:00:21.547]"We should start a Physician Leadership Academy".
[00:00:23.790]And that's something that was going
[00:00:25.350]sort of through the industry at the time.
[00:00:27.030]And I was the most skeptical of all folks
[00:00:30.090]that this would ever work,
[00:00:31.260]that we should do this with UNL,
[00:00:32.670]because I thought to myself, we can't work with doctors,
[00:00:35.610]how would they ever figure out how to work with doctors.
[00:00:39.060]And, six years later I can tell you that it is a model
[00:00:43.710]of physician leadership, academies across the United States.
[00:00:47.400]If you look at the physicians
[00:00:49.170]that worked with us through COVID,
[00:00:50.820]the physicians who work with us
[00:00:52.530]every day on our medical staffs,
[00:00:54.120]and in our leadership there,
[00:00:55.500]they are almost all graduates,
[00:00:57.450]the Physician Leadership Academy.
[00:00:59.280]The expertise, the professionalism,
[00:01:01.230]the innovation you've brought to that
[00:01:02.850]has been just wonderful.
