[00:00:11.670]like desk assistants, desk assistants supervisors, RA's,
[00:00:15.615]people in the dorms that are on campus,
[00:00:18.270]it really gives me a better perspective of understanding
[00:00:21.420]how the whole system works.
[00:00:23.220]My favorite student experience with leadership
[00:00:25.710]that I've been able to take part of has probably been
[00:00:28.650]the student advisory board for the housing committee.
[00:00:30.840]We get together and we talk about all
[00:00:33.240]of the things that involve student life,
[00:00:35.310]and what the housing has to do with how RA's work,
[00:00:39.840]how we as students collectively come together
[00:00:44.370]and represent the student body of workers
[00:00:46.770]in the housing department.
[00:00:47.910]And it's really cool to see
[00:00:49.260]how we can change those types of things,
[00:00:51.930]and it gives us an opportunity to really give a voice
[00:00:54.660]to the students that may not feel like they have a voice.
[00:00:57.000]And not only is it a really cool opportunity,
[00:00:59.490]it looks great on a resume and it's also a great opportunity
[00:01:02.280]for me to learn more people in the higher ups
[00:01:04.560]in the housing department here at
[00:01:05.910]the University of Nebraska.
