[00:00:03.820]At the college of business,
[00:00:04.840]we have focused on a strength-based community.
[00:00:08.070]As it relates to students,
[00:00:09.790]we have a professional enhancement program.
[00:00:12.010]All of our students take a sequence of four
[00:00:14.260]one credit hour classes,
[00:00:15.390]and the very first class is investing in strengths.
[00:00:17.950]And our students take the CliftonStrengths assessment
[00:00:20.610]and learn their top five strengths.
[00:00:22.060]But what's unique about the program
[00:00:24.230]is that we also have 80 strengths coaches,
[00:00:26.710]which are peer coaches that take a course
[00:00:29.560]and are trained in how to help coach around strengths.
[00:00:33.620]These 80 strengths coaches
[00:00:35.260]meet with every one of our freshmen twice for an hour,
[00:00:38.700]and coach them around their strengths
[00:00:40.250]and how to lean into their strengths.
[00:00:42.190]And basically also almost provides a mentor-mentee
[00:00:45.820]type relationship right out of the box.
[00:00:48.070]And so that's a huge commitment for the college.
[00:00:51.481]And then in addition to that, we have over 40 faculty
[00:00:54.840]and staff that are Gallup-Certified Strengths Coaches
[00:00:57.970]that also help invest in developing our faculty
[00:01:01.570]and staff as it relates to their strengths.
[00:01:04.210]And so the culture, the strengths culture,
[00:01:06.690]kind of permeates in the college.
[00:01:08.330]It creates a common language, a common understanding,
[00:01:11.830]and also helps us learn how to build teams
[00:01:14.260]that are effective teams,
[00:01:15.670]and to leverage what we are doing
[00:01:17.490]across all aspects of the college mission
[00:01:20.340]as it relates to students, staff, and faculty.
