[00:00:04.090]One of the newest initiatives we've launched
[00:00:05.970]is the Husker Venture Fund, which is a student organization
[00:00:09.440]that gives students the opportunity
[00:00:11.050]to engage in venture capital and startup investing.
[00:00:15.370]And they work very closely with Invest Nebraska
[00:00:18.920]through that process.
[00:00:20.260]We just launched this initiative last January,
[00:00:23.480]and we've already raised $900,000
[00:00:25.760]to support the funding cycle,
[00:00:29.070]in which we're going to have students
[00:00:30.590]awarding $25,000 investments into these startups,
[00:00:34.350]and they'll have the opportunity
[00:00:35.250]to make four such investments.
[00:00:37.240]The investments are gonna focus primarily
[00:00:39.540]on student-run businesses, faculty/staff-run businesses,
[00:00:44.850]or other alumni in the state,
[00:00:47.060]which is a great way to support economic development
[00:00:49.850]in the state.
[00:00:50.830]And we just made our first investment this January
[00:00:53.770]in a company that is led by a PhD student in CASNR.
[00:00:58.250]Yeah, Sentinel Fertigation is a startup company
[00:01:00.380]based here in Lincoln, Nebraska.
[00:01:02.140]So we're very excited about that.
